Story
Looking for a star athlete to join your team? We’ve got the dog for you!  Meet Cannoli! Cannoli is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the “Adoption Donation” section.)  “Fur-st Impressions” are very important! Schedule a meet and greet with Cannoli before applying to see if he is the perfect fit for your family by emailing us at Fur-stImpressions@pathofhoperescue.com.  A completed Adoption Application will be required after the meet and greet to move forward with Cannoli’s adoption. Born in September of 2022, Cannoli is a leggy Treeing Walker Coonhound mix (best guess) with short brown fur and black markings who weighs in at a trim 55 lbs. And those ears! Too cute! Coonhounds are known for being affectionate, loyal, and active, and Cannoli embodies all these traits.  Cannoli has got his moves down! His repertoire includes sit, stay, no, lay down, leave it, shake, and wait. Cannoli’s also got some Premier League soccer skills. This player will toss any ball, chase it, advance it down the field, lateral with it, and return it to you to throw again. If the ball isn’t close by, a stuffed toy will do. Cannoli loves to catch them, shake them, toss them in the air, then bring them back to start the game all over again. Eager, loving, and curious, Cannoli really enjoys walks, cuddles, and spending time with his people. When worn out from his playing, Cannoli likes nothing better than a snuggle on the couch. He loves your company, but he can chill on his own, too. He is the perfect blend of workout partner and binge-watching buddy. Cannoli relishes the company of other dogs as both playmates and snuggle buddies, and he has done well with cats he has met. Cannoli would do best in a home with older, calmer children. A smart dog who is eager to learn, Cannoli is fully crate and potty trained. He sleeps through the night, and he has his obedience skills down. Because he is smart, food-, and praise-motivated, Cannoli quickly picks up commands and would be a good candidate for learning tricks.  Cannoli walks well on a leash; he is alert and engaged during his outside explorations and curious about the world.  Cannoli’s ideal home? He needs a confident, kind coach who will set boundaries and make him feel secure in his position on the team. His ideal home would have people to love who love him back, make sure he gets lots of activity, and ensure he practices the skills that make him a happy and well-rounded pup.  Dog siblings would be cool, but he also would be fine as a solo pet companion. A calm but physically active household would give him the exercise requirements he needs. Cannoli has the skills to be a multi-tool player on any team. Are you ready to play? Cannoli is a lovable sweetheart with a few quirks that have benefitted from training.  We will waive the $450 minimum adoption donation for adopters who agree to attend training with one of our Preferred Training Partners to learn how to set him up for success in his new home.  What is Path of Hope’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family. (The process may differ slightly for long distance adopters.) Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250.  Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.   About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##1624298##

Story
Meet Chase! This active and friendly boy is a social butterfly, loving both people and dogs alike. With his charming personality and wagging tail, he's sure to win over hearts wherever he goes. Chase is the perfect adventure buddy, acting like the perfect gentleman on the trail and in the car. He thrives on stimulation and socialization, so his ideal forever home includes a healthy amount of activity. However after everyday of fun his favorite thing to do is snuggle up. Chase is truly a chaser so he would do best in a home without cats, but he adores other dogs and has made many furry friends here at the rescue. He learned a lot of household manners in his former foster home, he is fully potty trained, only chews on his toys and loves to gaze out windows. Chase is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.
