Story
Ace is a young hound mix under a year old with a calm, thoughtful personality and just the right balance of adventure and downtime. He enjoys exploring the woods, sniffing around trails, and hanging out near the water, but he is not nonstop hyper or chaotic. After some fun and activity, he settles down nicely. Ace is great with other dogs and with cats. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loyal. He is the kind of dog who forms real bonds instead of instantly demanding attention from everyone he meets. He would do great with someone who wants an active companion for walks, exploring, road trips, or outdoor time, while still wanting a dog that can relax and coexist peacefully at home afterward. Currently in Oklahoma but can be adopted to approved out-of-state homes via transport. If an adoption does not work out (rare, but life happens), I always take my dogs back. Fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested). Adoption fee: $450 (includes transport and vetting). Some dogs constantly demand attention. Some dogs constantly need activity. Some dogs turn every little thing into chaos. And then there are dogs like Jersey. The kind of dog that quietly settles into your life and somehow makes everything feel calmer. Jersey is a 3-4 year old mixed breed girl around 50 pounds with one of the easiest personalities you could ask for. She is quiet, calm, affectionate, and content no matter what is going on around her. Want to go for a walk? She is happy to join you. Want to spend the afternoon relaxing at home? She is perfectly content with that too. Jersey is great with dogs and cats and has a very peaceful presence around other animals. She is not pushy, dramatic, or overly needy. She simply enjoys being near her people and going with the flow of daily life. One of the most remarkable things about Jersey is how quiet she is. She rarely barks and has a naturally calm demeanor that makes her easy to live with. Because of her laid back personality, she would likely do very well in an apartment, quieter household, or with someone simply looking for a low-maintenance companion. She is affectionate without being clingy and adaptable without being demanding. Honestly, she is just an incredibly easy dog to enjoy. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, affectionate companion that is happy doing whatever life brings that day. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Liberty and Honor were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy, who was pulled from the Fresno shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He like to be where the people are and will get anxious and vocal when alone. He is good with other dogs but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children. Not sure how he does with cats. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! Meet Momma Daisy 🌼🐾 6 years old | Chihuahua/Beagle-ish mix | 22 lbs of “big-boned beauty” Okay, okay… she’ll tell you it’s genetics. And technically, she’s not wrong 😉 But the truth is Daisy has hypothyroidism and is now on medication (for life), which means this sweet girl is already on her way to feeling healthier and slimming down. A little daily stroll and fewer snacks (she says rude) and she’ll be thriving! Daisy came to us from a California shelter very pregnant and delivered two adorable babies, Liberty and Honor. She’s done the hard work of motherhood and is officially ready to retire into a life of comfort, cuddles, and unconditional love. Personality-wise? She is not a mover and shaker. She’s more of a “lounger and snacker.” While she’ll happily go for a walk and even wrestle a bit with her kiddos, her favorite activities are: • Cuddling • Eating • Following her person around like a loyal little shadow She will pick her favorite human and glue herself to them. But if that person leaves? No problem — she’ll temporarily glue herself to someone else. She’s adaptable like that. Daisy is: ✔ Doing great on leash and starting to really enjoy walks ✔ Using the doggie door like a pro ✔ Likely to ignore a cat ✔ Fine with older kids ✔ Extremely sweet and affectionate This girl doesn’t ask for much.
