Story
Tessa is 45 pounds and 7 years old. She is such a sweet angel that was rescued from an abusive environment before being adopted 6 years ago. Because of this she has some fear in meeting new people but always come around with a little time and lots of treats! She has a calm sweet demeanor and mostly sleeps when in the house. Being a hound she loves to sniff and run around outside. Not ideal for anyone in an apartment. She is housebroken. She has some leash reactivity when she sees other dogs but is otherwise great on a leash. She has never been around children so I’m not sure how she reacts. She really is an amazing and sweet sweet dog but needs someone who is patient and understands rescues.

Story
Weight: 60lbs Special considerations: active adopter required Meet Chase! This active boy is super friendly with everyone he meets, person and dog alike! He has limited range of motion in his jaw so he didn’t cut it as a hunting dog, but he still loves to work and run! He is a great hiking buddy and loves learning all kinds of tricks. He is very smart but gets anxious when he doesn’t get enough stimulation, so he’s looking for someone who will provide a lot of enrichment and socialization. Aptly named, he does love to chase so he would do best in a home without cats, but he loves other dogs. Some of his best friends at the shelter are Bailey and Bentley (both available for adoption!), though we haven’t found a dog he doesn’t like. If you’re looking for a tricolor cutie for all your adventures, call us about Chase! Chase is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

I have been at the shelter since Apr 24, 2024. Everyone calls me a “Goofball,” I’m not sure what that means but I know it has the word “ball” in it! Bringing a smile to my person’s face is what I do best and I’m ready to make every day as fun as I can. I think I’m the happy, funny pup for you!

Story
Gemma is a very sweet and loving dog, she's still young (2 years). She has the typical Beagle and Dachshund behaviors and she gets bored so she needs an experienced adopter especially one familiar with small hunting breeds. She does not do well in the kennel and needs someone to be home during the day or a home without cats where she can be out while she's alone. We did a trial run with one family who had cats and they didn't keep her in the kennel while they were gone and had no issues, however her cats were stressed out so they weren't able to keep her, that's the reason why we're rehoming her, she needs a home without cats and we have a few. If you have any questions let me know!
