Story
Nemo is a 60-pound, 2-year-old pointer mix with a heart full of love and a touch of mischief. Not so long ago, in a street far far away, Nemo was living on a tiny patch of grass outside a Houston store. He was a shy but playful goofball—he would race to the loading dock, snatch an unattended furniture blanket, and dash back to his grassy spot outside the fence. The store managers took him in, and just like that, he graduated from “street dog” to “office foster dog!” Now, Nemo is thriving in foster care. He’s a smart boy who knows “sit,” “leave it,” “touch,” and “shake” (he promises he’s working on “stay”!). He has plenty of puppy energy and enjoys playing with other young, active dogs, though not all pups appreciate his enthusiasm. He loves chasing footballs but has a submissive nature—he's happy to let other dogs take the toys. Nemo is a lover, not a fighter. Nemo is not yet housetrained, but he’s eager to please and very trainable with consistency and patience. He has been treated for whipworms, is heartworm-negative and on preventative, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He adores car rides and, despite his energy, is a total couch potato at heart. He’s perfectly happy napping while you work from home, as long as he gets some playtime and love. Nemo is a sweet, mischievous boy who just wants a best friend to play with and snuggle. Could that be you? Story
Hi, I'm McRib — also known as Bones — and I'm a striking 2-year-old silver Weimaraner-Blue Lacy mix with adventure in my DNA! I'm neutered, crate trained, and bursting with energy, so I need a home with plenty of space and an active family ready to exercise me several times a day. I'm great with kids (older kids are best for my spirited play style) and fantastic with other dogs, and my loyalty and affection mean I'll be your devoted companion through thick and thin. I'm smart, playful, and genuinely happy to be alive. A yard and active family will be great. Apartment living may not be for me unless you have the time and energy to keep up and keep me busy. Come meet me and let's start our adventure together! Local $300 OOS transported to your area $550

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Dana Darling is one of those easy-to-enjoy puppies who is ready to fit right into family life. She is sweet with people, wonderful with children, friendly with other dogs and always ready for a walk, a tennis ball or a little recliner time with her foster. Despite being a growing puppy, Dana already has a gentle, thoughtful nature that makes her a joy to have around. Go watch Dana Darling on YouTube to see her sweet personality, impressive sit and love for a good game of "fetch". https://youtu.be/z7nIdXQhFig?si=cCx1vt0LsBSe14B6 Dana is estimated to be about six months old and may be a Weimaraner/Shepherd mix, but breed and age are always our best guess with rescue dogs. Whatever her mix may be, she is a beautiful girl with a soft expression and a very good-natured personality. She is fostered in a loving home with children ages one and four, and she has been wonderful with both of them. Dana is gentle, gives sweet little kisses and remains patient when tiny hands are petting her or occasionally grab an ear by mistake. She truly seems comfortable being part of a family and enjoys staying close to her people. Her foster says she even likes to curl up beside him during recliner time, fully convinced she is lap-dog sized. Dana goes on regular walks and already has great basic leash skills. She rides well in the car, knows how to sit and loves treats, which she takes very gently from your hand. She is also getting the hang of fetch and has decided that tennis balls are clearly superior to every other toy available. Dana is friendly with other dogs and has a playful side of her own. Her best match would be a dog who enjoys playing without being overly pushy or overwhelming. She goes slow when meeting a new dog but once she is comfortable, she is happy to join in and have fun. She also did wonderfully meeting our house cat. Dana was respectfully cautious, responded easily to guidance and showed no desire to chase or overwhelm him. We believe she could do well living with a dog-savvy cat with appropriate introductions and continued supervision as she grows. Dana Darling is still a puppy, but she already has so many of the qualities families hope to find- she is loving, gentle with children, social with dogs, respectful with cats and eager to learn. If you are looking for a family-friendly sweetheart who loves a tennis ball almost as much as she loves curling up beside her person, Dana is your girl! Apply to adopt Dana today!
