Meet Little Boy – the Bubble-Chasing, Ice-Cube-Loving Chocolate Cutie! Little Boy is a 1-year-old chocolate weimaraner/terrier mix with soulful golden eyes, big floppy ears, and a personality that’s equal parts curious explorer and gentle companion. Weighing in at just 29 pounds, he’s perfectly sized for couch cuddles, outdoor fun, and everything in between. This playful boy is house trained and crate trained—he even cries to let you know when it’s potty time. He does great with tweens and teens and loves playing with dogs of all sizes (30-70 lbs). While he hasn’t shown interest in toys yet, he absolutely adores splashing in his water bowl, chasing bubbles, swatting at flying insects, and being first in line at the fridge for an ice cube treat. Seriously—ask him, “How about an ice cube?” and watch his eyes light up! Little Boy has a medium energy level: active enough to enjoy playtime and outdoor adventures, but also loves his daily naps. He’s learning leash manners and basic commands like sit and get in your box, and currently working on come here, shake, and lay down. Birds and squirrels are very exciting distractions on walks, so continued training will be helpful. While Little Boy is a bit aloof with people and not overly affectionate, he thrives in the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with a playful dog companion. He stays in his crate when left alone (4–8 hours), and although car rides make him a little nervous, he makes the cutest little noises during them. Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! He came to us as a puppy and was adopted but returned several years later due to anxiety around the young toddler in the home. Marley is friendly with other dogs, has lived without issues with cats, and is a loyal companion to his people. He is discerning with new people but not reactive. He is nervous with small children who don't respect his space. He is house-trained, crate-trained and has good basic obedience training. We will share more as we get to know him in foster care. Animal Profile: Whiskey is an approximately 3 year old, 29 lb, altered male Catahoula mix joining us from Kauai SPCA in Hawaii on 9/5/2025. He was found after being abandoned in a Safeway parking lot. Whiskey has spent time with a foster in Hawaii but is headed to Seattle to get him more exposure and a better chance at a forever home. His fosters were able to share the following: "he knows the basic commands: sit, stay and shake. Whiskey is food motivated and loves to snuggle. He is working through his car anxiety and being secured or crated helps. Whiskey does not do well with cats." We will share more about Whiskey as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Whiskey is an absolute GEM and a favorite with all the volunteers who have met him. He is sweet and happy and great with other dogs. He is crate and potty trained and though he occasionally whines in the crate he settles down after just a few minutes. Also potty trained. He's great on a leash, has some prey drive with rabbits and squirrels (what dog doesn't?). He is doing well in a car and can't wait to find his forever family. He would be great for a an active family who can keep his active young self physically and mentally engaged. Okay with kids 12 +. Preference for house with yard. Dog companion in home a bonus. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration.
