Story
This handsome boy was born the first of March to a young and small mama dog that weighed 35 lb. There were eight in the litter and they are all beautiful and sweet but they had to raise themselves. The small farm that they were born on had a young man that stayed on the road doing his music. He had no time for puppies. Fortunately, a very devoted rescue woman who knew of their plight contacted Critter Cavalry and we have been in search of wonderful homes for this litter. Mr Buck is a handsome 6-month-old born the first of March that weighs 22 lb. He is full of them and vigor and love and cuddles. He wants nothing more than to be a part of your life and invite you to make him a part of yours. He is learning crate training and leash walking. He gets along famously with kittend, children, other dogs and any adults that he meets. He's not a shy boy, although he has not experienced a lot in life He still embraces every new thing that comes his way with enthusiasm and interest. He's going to be about a 30 to 35 lb adult boy that is a perfect size for hiking, jogging, condo or apartment lifestyle or even a home with a fenced yard. He is a whippet/ lab mix that will turn heads with his sleek good looks and athletic body. His very handsome face often has a very serious and investigative look on it as he surveys the world and the things that are happening. He often will wear a sweet smile as he enjoys an encounter and conversation with a kind human that is giving him their time and attention. This boy will be an absolute treasure to have in your life. If you're interested in considering an adoption, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 20, 2024, 9:54 am

Story
Athena is a delicate beauty, describded by our volunteer as "doe-like."  She is small in stature and a bit shy but warms up to friendly dogs and humans pretty quickly.  She would do well with a doggie buddy who can help her build her confidence. She is also OK with cats - just ignores them.  Athena loves walks, is beautiful when runs (perhaps a bit of miniature greyhound?) and would make a great companion for an active person, or someone who enjoys running. We will update Athena as we learn more about her. PAW places dogs in the DC/ VA/ MD/ PA area only. ##2206317##

Meet Edamame! He is a Whippet/Greyhound mix with the most beautiful black and brown brindle coat. Edamame is esitmated to be around 2-3 years old. This happy guy was left at the Humane Society and no one has claimed him. We are not sure why? He is so sweet and gentle. Edamame loves to take walks and walks well on the leash. He LOVES time in the play-yard and just likes to run and tire himself out. He does not seem to be reactive towards other dogs, and since he was a stray we are not certain if he has been around other dogs or cats. He is pretty gentle when taking treats. If you would like to make the brindle beauty you new best friend, come meet him at the Humane Society of Charles County Md today!

Story
Meet Cassidy, the Charming Introvert! Get ready to fall in love with Cassidy, a pale white pup with captivating puppy eyes and a heart-shaped nose. Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. He loves cozy naps and enjoys sleeping in when it's chilly or rainy outside. His head and ears are the sweet spots for scratches and cuddles, and he might even roll over for a belly rub! Cassidy is searching for someone who will shower him with love and understanding. While he respects cats and tolerates other dogs, he prefers his own space and will often retreat to a separate room. However, when the other dogs are not around, he comes out for attention and cuddles. He enjoys the quiet company of a select few men, seeming to have a preference for quieter individuals. It's important to note that Cassidy is not a fan of chaos, whether it's caused by humans or other dogs. He seeks a serene and calm environment where he can feel at ease. Car rides are a pleasure for him, as long as he is the sole rider and not in a crowded car with other dogs. To provide Cassidy with his ideal home, a single, quiet man with no other dogs or possibly a submissive dog that Cassidy meets and approves of would be the perfect match. An at-home social life that aligns with his introverted nature is preferable. While Cassidy tends to avoid general interaction and may not seek pets, hugs, or kisses, he has his moments of affection when he feels comfortable. Cassidy may be an introverted hermit, but beneath his reserved exterior lies a dog yearning for love and understanding. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet moments and can provide a calm and peaceful environment, Cassidy will reward you! (Only) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
