Story
Kanga and Roo would be a great addition to your household if you are interested in adopting a pair, although not required. Both walk well on a leash and are very playful and would love a fenced yard. Both are also super smart and have learned to sit when their foster holds up an index finger. They even sit for all meals and treats. They are fun, playful pups and play well together, burning off their energy. Roo smiles a lot :) and both are so cute!! They are very nice little dogs, not big barkers. Let us know if you want to meet one or both! Thank you for your interest in Kanga G! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=17832 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Kanga G, or to submit an online application. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process by visiting:  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.  Dog's Name:  Baby Raynera (RAY0524ALAFD)Estimated Breed:  Whippet / Hound mixApproximate Age:  DOB 2/5/24  Approximate Weight:  15 LBS Currently Living at:  Foster  Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hello, I'm Baby Raynera! I am a sweet and delicate little whippet mix. I have had a bit of a rough start to life as my sister, Baby Kai, and I found ourselves in an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Lucky for us we have been rescued and are staying with a nice foster family. I am now on the hunt for a home of my own. Could that be with you? I am just adorable and excellent with other dogs. We guess that when fully grown I will be approximately 25-pounds or so. At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization too. I'm just here, wagging my tail, hoping to find a family who will love me as much as I'll love them. I can't wait to meet you! I promise to bring joy and unconditional love to your life. Will you be my new family? Submit an application today. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it.  K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! For more information on K-9 Lifesavers, or to view a complete listing of all our Adoptable Dogs, visit our website at https://k-9lifesavers.org/adopt. Please “like” our  Facebook Page  for the most current events and new dogs.Thank you for considering a rescue dog! ##2052569##

Story
Lieutenant Natasha Yar, chief security officer aboard the USS-Enterprise, reporting for duty! Of course, you can just call me Tasha. Much like my namesake character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, I am small but mighty and a true protector! I am also (partially) blonde and my funny tiny ears match Tasha Yar's short hair. Also like Tasha, I have had a rrruff life before now and am happy to start anew. I have a little bit of a funny appearance. I have my tiny ears, looong legs, and my eyes sometimes go out to the sides. It's really hard to know what breeds I may be mixed with. All I know is that I'm super sweet and loving but have no problem being feisty too. I'm still a pup after all! I love to wrestle with the other dogs in the house and we get along great, though I do have to eat separately. I get barky when I have food because I feel the need to protect it! I am doing amazing with things like house training, leash training, and being comfortable with car rides. Behind my tough exterior, I'm actually a very sweet and snuggly girl! I'll rub all over you like a cat and always be by your side waiting for love. I am even great with smaller humanoids. I'm ready for a family of my own to explore the galaxies with. Apply today!
