Dandi! Watching this beautiful Great Pyrenees mix (likely with whippet or greyhound) run is watching poetry in motion. She is fast, graceful, & can turn on a dime. This is all done in play or merely for pure joy. Dandi does not have a prey drive. She is fine with cats. Dandi gets along famously with dogs of all sizes. This is fantastic as she must have at least one canine companion to help her manage her very high energy levels. Once her frenetic high spiritedness has been drained, she plays contentedly on her own with toys. She is affectionate, craves attention. Her ideal home: An active family Older children At least one canine companion A fenced yard with room for her to run She is not the type of dog to be crated & left alone for long periods. I have ears the size of Rhode Island and LOVE to play play play, kind of like California :D Its hard to tell in the pictures, but I am a petite flower 30# of love, cuddling and playing... I am great with everyone I meet and you know that will include you. I have the personality to go with my good looks. I am a golden color of sandy beaches and have the eyes of a beautiful Pacific ocean sunrise and am so ready for you to ADOPT ME!! I love you already, but look at my face and ears and LOVE ME!!! Meet Baloo! 🐾✈️ This handsome guy made the long journey all the way from Djibouti and is now ready to find his forever home! Our best guess is that Baloo is a Basenji-Saluki mix, and he’s every bit as unique as that sounds. He has put on some healthy weight since arriving and is now 35lbs. Baloo has a gorgeous tan and white ticked coat and soulful eyes that tell the story of his journey. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through. He warms up quickly to other dogs and will absolutely need a confident dog companion in his new home to help him continue to blossom. He has also gotten along great with the resident cat in his foster home. Baloo is crate and house trained and since being in his foster home has learned the ropes of life in a home—he has warmed up to his foster family and the resident pack. He came into foster care not knowing any basic house manners or training and is doing so great with a solid routine and continued reinforcement. He will need a patient adopter committed to helping him continue to become just as great as he can be! If you’re ready to help a special pup, write the next chapter of his life, Baloo might be the one for you. Baloo is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.
