Story
Sweet Georgia is grieving; she lost her octogenarian owner last week & is feeling lost. She is a sweet, calm girl who is house-trained, has polite leash manners & gets along with other dogs & cats. She doesn't have experience with children but with her lovely temperament we believe she would be great with children 8+. She is spayed & has just had all her vaccines updated, fecal & heartworm tested (negative). She will go to her new family with a 6-month supply of heartworm, flea & tick preventatives! Georgia is around 50lbs & her family believe she is a Lab/Whippet mix (Labet? Whippador? LOL) What we know for sure is that she is an absolute Lovehound & will be a lovely companion. Can you heal this sweet girl's heart? This is a courtesy posting to ensure this pup lands in a great home & her adoption fee is minimal. The rescue will reach out to veterinarians, references, and property managers, as we would for dogs in our program. However, the adoption will be a private agreement between the carer and the adopter. The carer will provide all records at the time of adoption. If you'd like to find out more about making this gorgeous doggy a member of your family and to assess better whether (s)he would be a good fit in your home, please fill out our adoption form here: https://airtable.com/shrlL2pbqSGTRJiyc *If you live in rented accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the property management's pet policy before applying. All breed mixes listed are an educated guess; we didn't meet mom or dad!

Story
Athena is a sweet girl, but she is very resource guarded we had an incident with our other senior male dog and herself. Do to this incident we now need to rehome her. She does not do well with other animals. She polices walks, jumping, and getting attention from her owner, we are newly pregnant and expecting our first child in November. We currently have both dogs separated in our house and they don’t see each other. So she has her own space and is doing very well during this transition period! She loves to play and is easy to love. She can be sweet with people but requires an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and can provide a safe environment with no other animals. She does better also with children ages 5 and up! This is an urgent rehoming situation. I want her placed responsibly and safely. Please message only if you are serious and able to handle a dog that needs to be an only pet.
