Winnie is a 2 year old Whippet weighing 26 lbs, and she has a playful, silly side that really shines once she feels comfortable! She can be a little shy and aloof when meeting new people like the typical sighthound, but give her a little time and you’ll get to see her fun-loving personality come out. Winnie is very playful, loves treats and food, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She would ideally love a home with a canine companion to play with and help her feel right at home. Winnie is good with kids and is crate trained, although she may whine a bit when crated. She is still working on her house training and will need a patient family to help her continue making progress. A securely fenced yard is a REQUIREMENT for this girl so she can safely enjoy her playful side! Winnie is looking for a loving home where she can build her confidence, ideally have a doggy friend, and show off the silly, sweet girl hiding beneath her initially shy exterior. No cats for this girl, please! To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $500, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

All Southern Crescent Canine Rescue pets are spayed or neutered, all vaccinations are up to date, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We suggest follow-up intestinal worming two weeks after adoption.  We require monthly heartworm preventive after adoption!Oh my goodness!  Can you see her beauty in the photos?  She is graceful, refined, and has grey eyes.  She is smart, well-mannered, silly, and FUN!  She is wonderful on the leash, sitting for treats, and housebreaking. This special girl is just so attracted to children, and is gentle and respectful with kids and other dogs her size.  She does love to play and run, but settles down for snuggle time. Love her toys and cushy bed. She will guard your yard from evil squirrels, so we suggest no cats.  She is NOT a housedog; she prefers to be outside. Sweet Georgia is grieving; she lost her octogenarian owner last week & is feeling lost. She is a sweet, calm girl who is house-trained, has polite leash manners & gets along with other dogs & cats. She doesn't have experience with children but with her lovely temperament we believe she would be great with children 8+. She is spayed & has just had all her vaccines updated, fecal & heartworm tested (negative). She will go to her new family with a 6-month supply of heartworm, flea & tick preventatives! Georgia is around 50lbs & her family believe she is a Lab/Whippet mix (Labet? Whippador? LOL) What we know for sure is that she is an absolute Lovehound & will be a lovely companion. Can you heal this sweet girl's heart? This is a courtesy posting to ensure this pup lands in a great home & her adoption fee is minimal. The rescue will reach out to veterinarians, references, and property managers, as we would for dogs in our program. However, the adoption will be a private agreement between the carer and the adopter. The carer will provide all records at the time of adoption.
