We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Sky is a perfect blend of playful energy, cuddly affection, and nonstop charm! Personality | Sweet, playful, adoring. Sky is very interested in humans - they are so entertaining and fun! Sky loves her stuffies! Sky is learning to keep "4 on the floor" when she is excited, but does jump on people to show her enthusiasm. Sky is a high energy active pup and will be looking for an adopter to wants a smart, active pup to do allll the fun training and take her on Colorado outdoor adventures.Story | Sky and her siblings were found dumped in rural Arkansas. These puppies were turned into a high-kill shelter, but a local AR rescue partner stepped up to help get Sky and her siblings safe and ready to come to Colorado. We think this litter is a mix of Labrador and Wire Hair Terrier - friendly and clever.Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Cats | She is young enough to do well with kitties with proper intros!Children | She is young enough to do well with kind, respectful kiddos. Training | In progress. Sky is clever, high energy and mischievous - this is a puppy who will thrive with training and positive reinforcement.Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows “No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks.Activity Level | Moderate/High. Typical puppy who loves to play, nap, repeat!Health Notes | Healthy and happy :)Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in.
