Meet Pixie — a tiny dynamo with a big personality! Pixie was found by a kind 97-year-old woman, and while we don’t know how long she lived on the streets, it’s clear this little girl has already overcome a lot. Pixie tested heartworm positive after being rescued and is bravely completing her treatment, which is expected to be finished in early February. Now about 2 years old, she’s looking ahead to a brighter future in a loving forever home. Pixie is a terrier–Chihuahua mix (we think!) who brings confidence, energy, and charm wherever she goes. She’s a high-energy, alpha female who knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to show it — a true “small but mighty” kind of girl. She does well with other dogs and currently lives in her foster home with three large dogs and two other small Chihuahuas. Pixie enjoys walks, doesn’t mind car rides, and once she feels comfortable, she’s perfectly happy entertaining herself with her chew toys. Like many confident little pups, Pixie is protective of her personal space and appreciates having a safe spot of her own. Her crate is her sanctuary, and she may guard her toys — so she’ll do best with an adopter who understands and respects boundaries. She can be vocal at times, as is typical of small dogs, and she makes a great little alert pup. Pixie is still working on potty training, and she’s very treat-motivated, which will help her continue learning and thriving. Pixie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a confident, spirited little companion with lots of personality. If you’re looking for a spunky, independent, and entertaining sidekick — Pixie might just be your girl. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Hi, my name is Neuf and I'm from Minnesota. From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky little guy. He loves to play with squeaky toys, other dogs, and run around in our yard! He’s very smart and very responsive to training since he is highly food motivated. We have been working on basic obedience and he has been picking up everything quickly! He does amazing in his crate overnight. He will whine and bark a bit before settling down, but always makes it through the night quietly. He is fully potty trained and goes to the bathroom right away when he is let out! He has some separation anxiety, which is completely understandable for a dog moving around so much. He really just wants to snuggle up to his humans and be near them. I’m certain that when he is in his forever home he will be able to work through this quickly. He is also a bit vocal when he hears new sounds in our neighborhood, and when he meets new people, but he settles down after a few minutes. He has been known to chase cats, so probably not a good fit for someone who has them. He is good with other dogs! Unsure about very young children, but I’m sure he would do well with children that are a bit older and would want to play with him! He is a good boy with so much love and snuggles to give his future family. You can’t help but smile when you see him and his little tail wagging!

Hi, my name is Sloan and I am from Georgia! From his foster: Sloan is a one-of-a-kind pint-sized clown. He looks like a golden retriever/dachshund/terrier mix, but also has a strip of curly fur down his back. He is 100% adorable and pretty darn perfect! Currently about 20 lbs., he will likely end up around 24-30 lbs. Sloan is a confident and exuberant guy, good with all people, kids, and dogs alike. He hasn't met any cats yet, but he'd likely get along with a dog savvy feline. He is a big fan of food and is fun to train. He is doing well with housetraining, but is still making friends with his crate. Though he loves to play and go for walks, he is happy to settle down for some couch time too. He loves to stay close to his people and is hoping for a home where he can sleep in the same room.
