Story
Sweet momma, Utopia, and her five day old pups were hours away from being euthanized in a small Texas animal shelter before they were rescued. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days until she realized they were safe. Now she is a total lovebug! Utopia needs a patient family. She is shy and will take some time and lots of treats to be comfortable in her new home. She would do best with another confident dog to show her the ropes. She loves to run and play with other dogs so acclimating with them should be no problem. She is also cat friendly. Utopia does well in the car and walks great on a leash. She's ready for adventure and a love that lasts forever! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX adoption only)

Story
Benji is a sweet little guy with a gentle soul. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, his loving personality quickly shines through. Before coming to the rescue, Benji lived life outdoors and had some hair loss, but now he’s on the mend—his scruffy coat is growing back in, and it just adds to his charm! He’s currently learning all the good stuff about being a spoiled house pup, like potty training, walking on a leash, and discovering how amazing cozy beds and fun toys can be. If you have a soft spot for scruffy, adorable boys and a heart for helping a pup continue to blossom, Benji is ready to find his forever home and be your loyal little companion Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $600 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Snapshot of Zeeva: Size? Tiny now, but likely medium when fully grown. Activity Level? High – I’ve got lots of happy puppy energy! Noise Level? I bark when I play, but I’m otherwise pretty quiet. Good with Dogs? Yes! I would LOVE a playmate. Good with Cats? Yes – I ignore them. Good with Kids? I love kids, but I’m still learning my manners. Good with Strangers? Yes – I LOVE meeting new people. Potty Trained? In progress and doing well! Crate Trained? In progress. Shedding? Minimal right now, but that may change as I grow. About Zeeva: Hi there, I’m Zeeva! I may be small, but I’ve got a big personality and even bigger heart. I’m a spunky little terrier-mix puppy who loves life and everyone in it. I came to TCPR from a local animal control after I was found as a stray, and now I’m ready for my forever home! People always compliment my pretty eyes and unique coat, but I think my playful, loving personality is my best feature! I love toys, bones, running around the yard, and a good game of tug. Sometimes my little legs move faster than the rest of me and I take a tumble—but don’t worry, I bounce right back up! I’m still growing into these long legs of mine. I absolutely adore other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine sibling, though I could also be happy as the center of your world. I love kids too, but I’m still learning things like personal space, so I can be a little jumpy and mouthy when I get excited. I ignore cats, they're boring. With continued training and guidance, I’m going to grow into a very well-mannered girl. I’m doing great with potty training and just need a consistent routine and someone who can help me keep building good habits. I’m also learning to love my crate—I may whine a little at first, but I settle down and sleep through the night, especially if I’m close to you. I’ll let you know if I need a potty break, but otherwise I’m quiet as can be at bedtime. I’m looking for a family that’s ready for all the fun (and a little bit of chaos!) that comes with raising a puppy. In return, I promise endless kisses, cuddles, and daily laughter. If you’re ready for a sweet, silly best friend who will keep you smiling every single day—I’m your girl. I can’t wait to meet you! Zeeva is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations appropriate for her age. Adoption Fee: $600 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking “adopt me!”. A volunteer from Twin Cities Pet Rescue will contact you within 3 business days. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🎯🐾 Meet Hank — Brains, Bounce, and a Whole Lotta Heart 🐾🎯 Male • 1 Year Old • 23 lbs • Certified Good Boy (with honors) If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog who is equal parts athlete, genius, and total sweetheart, Hank is here to make that dream a reality. At just 1 year old and 23 pounds, Hank is the perfect compact package of energy, intelligence, and devotion. He’s the kind of pup who doesn’t just notice his person — he studies you like you’re the most important thing in the world (because to him, you are). This boy has focus for days. Call his name? He’s locked in. Have a treat? Oh, he’s really locked in. Say “let’s do something fun”? He’s already three steps ahead of you and ready to go. Hank would absolutely shine in: • Agility (future superstar alert 🚨) • Obedience training • Trick learning (he’s the overachiever type) • Or honestly… just being your everyday “let’s do life together” partner He’s extremely intelligent and very treat motivated, which makes training not only easy, but actually fun. Hank is the kind of dog who enjoys having a job — even if that job is just being the best companion you’ve ever had. And while he’s got the brains and athleticism, he’s also got the heart to match. Hank is wonderful with: • People (big fan) • Other dogs (instant friendships) • Cats (yes, even them!) He’s social, friendly, and carries that happy, easygoing vibe that makes him a joy to be around. His daily routine would ideally include: • Exercise to burn off that athletic energy • Mental stimulation (puzzle toys, training, learning new things) • Quality time with his favorite human (his favorite part) And after all that? He’s more than happy to settle in and enjoy some well-earned downtime — preferably somewhere near you. Hank isn’t just a dog — he’s that once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion who will learn with you, grow with you, and love you with his whole heart. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Hank show you just how amazing life can be with the right partner by your side. 🐾💛

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Astrid — CEO of Puppy Shenanigans & Professional Explorer 🐾🌟 Female • 3 Months Old • Future Perfect Medium Size If you’ve been looking for a happy, curious, tail-wagging bundle of puppy joy, allow us to introduce Astrid — a 3-month-old adventurer who wakes up every day convinced the world was created specifically for fun, snacks, and exploring absolutely everything. Astrid is a typical loving-life puppy, which means her daily schedule looks something like this: • Wake up • Zoom around like she just drank three espressos • Investigate mysterious leaves • Wrestle with dog friends • Practice being adorable • Take a dramatic nap • Repeat She’s very social, great with other dogs, and absolutely loves having playmates. If there’s another dog around willing to run, wrestle, or engage in competitive zoomies, Astrid is 100% on board. She also loves being outside exploring the big ole world — sniffing trails, investigating sticks, chasing leaves, and generally making sure no blade of grass goes unexamined. Hiking buddy in training? Definitely. Astrid loves people too, but it’s only fair to give you the official puppy disclaimer: she still comes equipped with those sharp little puppy nails and tiny shark teeth. Not malicious — just enthusiastic. The good news is she’ll grow out of that stage with a little guidance and training. Cats are currently unknown, but with her young age and proper introductions, she should adapt just fine. Astrid would be happiest with a family that enjoys being active and including their dog in the fun — walks, hiking, camping trips, backyard adventures, neighborhood strolls, and of course couch cuddles once the day’s exploring is done. Because life with Astrid will include: • Daily laughter • Random zoomies • Toy explosions • Surprise puppy kisses • And a whole lot of love In other words… exactly what puppyhood should be. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Astrid bring the adventures, the laughs, and the puppy chaos (the cute kind) into your life. 🐶💛

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.       Elias is a sweet puppy with a joyful, curious spirit and a wonderfully even‑tempered personality. He loves to play — chasing balls, squeaky toys, ropes, and anything he can tug or carry around. He’s especially fond of stuffed toys and Kongs filled with yogurt, pumpkin, or peanut butter. After a good play session, he’s happy to curl up for cuddles or relax in his dog bed with a toy. He enjoys wrestling and playing with other dogs, but when he gets tired or overwhelmed, he’ll tuck himself under a chair or lean against a person for comfort. He’s affectionate, goofy, and eager to please, with just the right mix of playfulness and sweetness. Elias is doing great with potty training — he consistently goes outside and will often head to the door when he needs to go. He’s crate trained, settles well with a treat or his Kong, and sleeps in his kennel at night. Sometimes he needs one potty break, but he’s already had nights where he sleeps straight through. He’s still learning leash skills and has picked up on leash walking like a champion - with a little more practice he will be a star. He is also working on basic commands and likes to show off that he knows how to "sit". He’s food‑motivated, smart, and ready to learn! He can be a little shy or skittish in new situations, but he warms up quickly with gentle reassurance. It is important he go to dog school to help him gain confidence and learn important skills like leash walking and being brave. Elias is a friendly, playful, affectionate puppy who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready for puppy life — toys, training, cuddles, and all. He’s sweet, adaptable, and full of potential, ready to grow into a loving lifelong friend. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  T his puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours, or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is to place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs.
