I may be small, but I’ve got a big personality and even bigger heart. I’m a spunky little terrier-mix puppy who loves life and everyone in it. I came to TCPR from a local animal control after I was found as a stray, and now I’m ready for my forever home! People always compliment my pretty eyes and unique coat, but I think my playful, loving personality is my best feature! I love toys, bones, running around the yard, and a good game of tug. Sometimes my little legs move faster than the rest of me and I take a tumble—but don’t worry, I bounce right back up! I’m still growing into these long legs of mine. I absolutely adore other dogs and would thrive with a playful canine sibling, though I could also be happy as the center of your world. I love kids too, but I’m still learning things like personal space, so I can be a little jumpy and mouthy when I get excited. I ignore cats, they're boring. With continued training and guidance, I’m going to grow into a very well-mannered girl. I’m doing great with potty training and just need a consistent routine and someone who can help me keep building good habits. I’m also learning to love my crate—I may whine a little at first, but I settle down and sleep through the night, especially if I’m close to you. I’ll let you know if I need a potty break, but otherwise I’m quiet as can be at bedtime. I’m looking for a family that’s ready for all the fun (and a little bit of chaos!) that comes with raising a puppy. In return, I promise endless kisses, cuddles, and daily laughter. "A THREE HOUR TOUR!!" This was the plan... and we thought it was a good one!! I mean we went through a tour company and EVERYTHING!!! However, here we are!! The fun and FABULOUS crew, we were literally living under the sidewalk outside an elementary school!! We would come out and eat from the LUNCH LADY :) and greet the kids! But they didn't want us to stay there, too close to a road AND we are PUPPIES!! So we are with our wonderful foster mums (Moonpie waited for the nice rescue teacher to get out of work before she showed her face!!) and we are READY for ACTION!! ***CUT**** We are somewhat nervous when we first meet you, however, our cute and ADVENTUROUS side comes out pretty quickly! Sweet momma, Utopia, and her five day old pups were hours away from being euthanized in a small Texas animal shelter before they were rescued. Momma was scared and protective of her babies for a few days until she realized they were safe. Now she is a total lovebug! Utopia needs a patient family. She is shy and will take some time and lots of treats to be comfortable in her new home. She would do best with another confident dog to show her the ropes. She loves to run and play with other dogs so acclimating with them should be no problem. She is also cat friendly. Utopia does well in the car and walks great on a leash. She's ready for adventure and a love that lasts forever! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX adoption only)
