Meet Kodak – The Biggest Adventure You'll Ever LOVE! Kodak is an adorably handsome Australian Cattle Dog and Wire-Haired Terrier mix with scruffy fur, an irresistible face, and ears that are impossible to forget. Smart, athletic, and full of personality, Kodak is looking for an active family that understands young working dogs and is excited to continue helping him become the incredible companion he's already proving he can be. Kodak combines some of the very best traits of both breeds. He has the intelligence, athleticism, and determination of an Australian Cattle Dog paired with the curiosity, confidence, and playful spirit of a terrier. He loves exploring the world, learning new things, playing with his toys, and being involved in whatever his people are doing. One of the most rewarding things about fostering Kodak has been watching him grow. Every week he becomes a little more confident, a little more settled, and a little more affectionate. While he still has all the enthusiasm you'd expect from a young puppy, he's learning how to channel that energy and is becoming a wonderful companion. Because Kodak is both intelligent and energetic, he thrives with physical exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to learn. Training sessions, hiking trails, puzzle toys, interactive games, and adventures with his family are all things he truly enjoys. He loves having a job to do and is happiest when he's included in daily life. Because of his natural herding instincts and youthful enthusiasm, Kodak would do best in a home with children 15 years of age or older. Like many herding breeds, he can become excited and may try to herd moving people, but he continues to make great progress with his manners and impulse control. He responds well to consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, making him a fun and rewarding dog to train. Kodak has also made tremendous strides socially. He now enjoys interacting with other dogs in a much more relaxed and appropriate way and has become a playful, positive canine companion. He would do well with another confident, playful dog who enjoys an active lifestyle and can continue helping him build his social skills. His foster mom has also watched his softer side blossom. Kodak has become incredibly affectionate and now regularly seeks out pets, snuggles, and quiet time with his people after he's finished playing. He loves leaning against you for attention and has discovered just how wonderful it is to cuddle. Kodak is also discovering that new experiences aren't so scary. When meeting new people, he greets them with friendly tail wags and gentle curiosity. He may stay close to his foster mom for the first few minutes while he takes everything in, but it doesn't take long before he's happily accepting treats, asking for attention, and making new friends. His sweet, observant nature makes him a thoughtful puppy who simply likes to know he's safe before diving into new friendships. One moment that made his foster mom especially proud was his very first bath. She wasn't sure what to expect from such an energetic puppy, but Kodak surprised everyone by sitting perfectly still like the very best boy. He handled the entire experience with patience and trust, showing just how willing he is to learn and how much he wants to please. Beneath Kodak's playful puppy energy is an incredibly sweet, loyal dog who simply wants to be part of a family. He's already come so far in foster care, and it's exciting to imagine just how amazing he'll become as he continues to mature. The goofy puppy who once bounced through every situation is growing into a confident, affectionate companion who loves to play, loves to learn, and loves even harder. Kodak isn't looking for someone who expects perfection. He's looking for someone who sees the incredible potential in a smart young dog and wants to enjoy the journey together. The family willing to invest their time, patience, and love into Kodak will be rewarded with years of adventure, laughter, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love. If you're looking for an active best friend who is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion, Kodak just might be your perfect match.
