Quill is an eleven-month-old, 24 lb Jack Russell mix. What's he mixed with? Our guess is some other type of terrier, habanero pepper, and a little bit of tornado - he's a hot but loveable and silly pup! Let's call him a Teenage Mutant Ninja Terrier. If you've ever been around a JRT, you already know that this spicy boy needs a lot of playtime to keep him occupied. Luckily, he loves to run and play with other dogs, so he's looking for a home with a playmate (preferably a big one), to keep him busy until he's ready to come snuggle with you...which he also excels at. He's recovering from a terrible case of mange, and his hair is still a little thin. And because he's a terrier, he doesn't shed much anyway. Easy cleanup! He is crate trained and will use a dog door. Quill is a smart boy and loves to learn new things. He's fast becoming a champion frisbee player - don't let those short legs fool you; he can jump! Update: Sushi continues to be a very sweet girl. She loves to be beside you, and lays with her foster mom on the couch most of the night. She also LOVES car rides, and even looks out the windows! She especially loves when the windows are open. She's a good girl for her insulin injections and likes carrots for snacks. If she is doing something she shouldn't be doing, she listens when her foster mom says NO, and she stops whatever it is and walks away. Sushi is good with kids and cats do not bother her at all, but a home with no other dogs is recommended. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going.Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get up on the couch. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard.

Dex is a 10 year old terrier mix that came from a hoarding situation.  He arrived very scared, but with love and affection is coming out of his shell.  Very sweet, but very timid. We think he received minimal or no human contact. This little guy will need a quiet home with someone who will be very patient with him while he continues to learn a life of love from human(s). He will take some time to trust you. He is food motivated and a fast learner. He needs more leash training. We are working on potty training. He loves to play with other dogs and is very submissive. Once you gain his trust, he's playful and likes to be pet and loves belly rubs. He does like his alone time sometimes.   ##1217955##

Little Foster was running with two others and had been for a long time.  He was paralyzed with fear when we first got him.  He is now doing well witih his Foster Mom, and so very sweet.  He weighs about 13   lbs and about 5 years old.  He loves other dogs so he needs one at least to make him feel comfy!  He has changed so much since he came to us shaking and cowering.  He is a sweet boy!  He is heartworm positive but we are treating him. ##1911379##

Hudson is a 3 year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He is a tiny, adorable dog with a huge personality that will keep you laughing all the time! He loves to play with other dogs and is always the first to make friends when new fosters come into the house. He can hold his own with big dogs and little dogs alike. His favorite activity is running zoomies, and he will run so hard and fast down the hall that he bounces off the wall...but he hops right back up and is ready for more. He also loves to explore the backyard and find the perfect stick or hunt down those annoying cicadas! Hudson doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids ages 10 and over. Kids will need to understand that Hudson is not the type of dog to be chased or picked up. Hudson is cuddly and loves to snuggle at night, but prefers it on his own terms. He doesn't love being picked up...it scares him a little...but he is getting more used to it. Having other dogs around is a must for him as it gives him confidence and someone whose lead he can follow. He is housetrained with a dog door but is probably going to mark at first, so if that's a huge deal to you, he's not your dog (remember, he's tiny so the clean-up is negligible).
