Story
Tired of the humdrum monotony of your everyday life? Going to work every day, coming home, going to sleep, and repeating the same boring cycle? Well, consider letting a rescue puppy shake up your world! Harmony, Hendrix, Hiccup and Harbor are four bouncy Chihuahuas with zoomies out the wazoo! After being rescued by Maddie’s Dog Rescue, they entered SNIPSA’s foster program with a singular shared goal: to find a home where they can run around on their tiny legs before crashing out on the couch by your side. Chihuahuas are fun-sized, sociable, and integrate well into most environments. Just remember two important things when adopting: 1. Early training is key for a well-behaved and confident companion. 2. Any of these pups will rule your home and will absolutely enforce the cheese tax. So, are you ready for a change of pace? An absolute sucker for both deep scratches and spirited games of tug-of-war, our Jolie girl has duality like no other. Story
This is Max, he is looking for a patient and loving forever home. He was found alone in the Harlandale Clinic parking lot, frightened and unsure of people. It took an entire day of gentle coaxing before he trusted me enough to come along, but once he did, his sweet personality began to shine. He weighs about 18 pounds, eats well, and absolutely loves having a soft bed to curl up in. Stuffed toys are one of his favorite things, and he enjoys carrying them around and snuggling with them. While he is still timid in new situations, he clearly wants affection and enjoys being loved on. He has never shown any aggression. He gets along well with other dogs and especially loves our pit bull, often seeking comfort and companionship from her. At first he barked at and chased our cats, but when corrected with a firm "no," he immediately backed off, As time has gone on and he has been around our entire pack of animals, he has learned to fit in and is pretty calm around them all now. He is still learning house manners. He has done some marking and had a few potty accidents indoors, but we are working on frequent trips outside and he is making progress. He does have an issue with crossing the threshold to go outdoors and indoors, and we were frequently having to pick him up to take him in and out, but that is also getting better over time. He does not yet know how to walk on a leash and will need a patient adopter willing to help him build confidence and learn basic skills. A secure fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for him. This sweet boy has already come a long way from the scared dog we found in that parking lot. He is looking for someone who will give him the time, patience, and love he needs to fully blossom. In return, you'll gain a loyal little companion with a gentle heart and so much love to give. Max had been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is heartworm negative and wormed. If you can't wait to meet this precious boy, please fill out an application. Adoption fee $300.

Story
Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived with a mysterious past but an abundance of heart. As our self-appointed "Director of First Impressions," Boo greets every visitor at SNIPSA with a professional-grade tail wag. Whether he’s making his morning rounds or leaning in for a chin scratch, he quickly wins over everyone he meets. Boo is the ultimate social butterfly. He’s a big fan of television—specifically Abbott Elementary—and loves to settle in for long sofa siestas. If you put on the Alabama Shakes, don't be surprised if he joins in with a gentle, soulful howl! Our Resilient Boy Because of a suspected spinal injury prior to his rescue, Boo has a few extra needs. He deals with mild urinary incontinence and requires his bladder to be expressed a few times a day. The good news? Boo is a total pro—he knows when his bladder is full and is more than happy to help with the process. He can also rock a belly band for added confidence. While he has been a beloved fixture at the office and has thrived in foster care for a while with our staff member Roxanne, he is officially ready to find a permanent pillow to call his own. Why You’ll Love Boo: * Fun-Sized & Scruffy: He has all the best traits of a Cairn Terrier—playful, curious, and just the right size for any home. * Low Maintenance Energy: He isn’t overbearing; he’s just eager to find a cozy spot to bed down. * Personal Alarm Clock: He’ll make sure you start your day with a smile. We are confident there is a perfect home for every dog, and Boo is no exception. If you have room in your heart for a resilient, charming, and scruffy little friend, Boo is waiting for you! Apply to adopt Boo today!
