Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 6th at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-3pm, unless he/she is set up and adopted prior to the event. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $500   Acorn is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix who was surrendered to DPS after being rescued by a good samaritan who stepped in and saved him from a bad situation. While we may not know everything about this guy before he came to us, we know that everything has been coming up Acorn ever since he joined our rescue! This petite dude has been working on his gains, and can’t wait to find a loving forever home to show off his amazing personality in!    Below is a note from Acorn’s foster. “Acorn is a sweet and sensitive little guy who adores his chosen people more than anything else in the entire world. For such a small guy, it is understandable that the world around him is very big, but watching his confidence grow in the time he has been with me has been amazing to see. He likes to stay as close as possible to me as I go about my day and is the world’s most adorable shadow. Acorn is more of a lounger than a playing dog and is happy to snooze the day away in his doggy bed next to you as you work. This boy is so sweet and gentle and took to my house quickly. He has the cutest way of seeking attention, putting his front paws on the couch or my leg and gazing at me with his puppy dog eyes. He loves it when I scoop him up onto my lap for a cuddle.  Acorn wakes up at 7:30 and heads right outside for a walk and potty followed by breakfast. He trots along next to me as I get ready for work and then snoozes next to me as I start my day, getting up when I do to make sure he doesn’t miss the chance for a treat! He gets another meal around lunchtime before his afternoon walk and dinner. We unwind from the day as we watch TV and snuggle. Acorn turns in for the night around 10 PM and happily heads to his crate to dream of treats and snuggles ahead the next day!  Acorn gets along with dogs and would do well with a confident canine sibling who can continue showing him the ropes, but he would also thrive as a solo pup. He walks well on a leash but is still building his confidence around loud noises and sudden movements outdoors. Acorn is such a chill and loving companion once he warms up to you. I promise this guy will be your faithful buddy for life if you are lucky enough to earn his love!”   Acorn is only an option for those with prior dog experience, with shy dog experience prioritized. Another dog in the home would likely be the best fit for Acorn. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10 and understand the needs of a shy dog.  April 24, 2024, 10:21 am

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $700   Chrysanthemum is a 3 month old Italian Greyhound mix who is looking for a home excited to see her bloom! Chrysanthemum was only two days old when she came into our rescue with her Mama who has since been adopted. We don’t know who dad was, but we know he passed his cute genes along to the girls. Chrysanthemum and her sister Peach have grown up into adorable puppies who are now excited to find their paw-fect forever homes! We expect these puppies will be in the 6-8 pound range when fully grown, as Mama is pretty petite herself. Looking for a springtime blossom? Look no further than Chrysanthemum!     Chrysanthemum has blossomed into a sassy, silly, adorable, and loving girl in the time she has been with us. She is adorably playful and has such a unique personality. She knows just how cute she is and she knows how to work her cuteness to her advantage when the treats come out. She constantly shows off her silly side as she drags big toys around, playing keepaway from her sister, before she tumbles over with a big “oof”. But then she’s right back up again with a smile on her face and a wag in her tail. It’s been such a treat watching her personality grow by leaps and bounds as she’s grown into an adorable gal. This girl has so much personality it’s almost impossible for her to keep it all inside her little body. What more could you ask for?  The puppies wake up around 7:30 and eat breakfast while their pen is being cleaned. Only the finest for our princess puppies! During the day, the puppies alternate between playing, eating, cuddling, and napping on top of each other. They love their soft dog bed and they love dragging their ever-expanding collection of toys around their pen. They have also decided they are WFH pros and will try to scamper across the keyboard of their foster mom when she isn’t looking. They have dinner at 7 PM and then spend a few hours playing with their neighbor who adores getting his energy out with these amazing puppies. They head to bed at 10 PM and snuggle together as they dream of adventures ahead.   Chrysanthemum has been socialized with the neighborhood dogs and loves her playtime. She would be a fantastic addition to a home with a resident dog who wants a playmate or as a solo dog to head out on adventures with. Peach would love heading out to puppy school with her new people, and we will be looking for homes who are prepared for all that comes with puppy rearing. If you’re looking for a floral addition to your home, you’ve met your match with sweet Chrysanthemum!    Chrysanthemum is only an option for those who have owned a dog in the last 5 years. We will be looking for separate homes for each puppy as we do not place siblings together. Kids in the home should be over the age of 9.April 24, 2024, 10:21 am
