Story
Meet Elsa, a delightful 7-year-old Pug mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Elsa was found abandoned with Beethoven, who may be her son, in an apartment after their previous family moved out. Thankfully, a compassionate landlord discovered them and brought them to a shelter, where they were given a second chance. Elsa is incredibly friendly with people and has a playful nature that makes her a joy to be around. She’s deeply bonded to Beethoven and looks for him when they’re apart, so they’ll need to find a home together. While Elsa is great with people, she can be aggressive with other dogs, so a home where she’s the only dog would be ideal. In excellent health with no medical concerns, Elsa is ready to bring her affectionate and lively personality to a loving home. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who adores people and enjoys playtime, Elsa and Beethoven are eager to share their love and loyalty with you.

Story
Max is a 14-year-old Chihuahua who’s looking for a special home to spend his golden years. Max may be small, but he has a big personality and isn’t afraid to show it. He’s a bit set in his ways and has been known to nip when he feels uncomfortable, so he needs an experienced dog owner who understands how to respect his space. While Max has his quirks, he can be a loyal companion once he trusts you. He would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where he can relax and enjoy his senior years at his own pace. Max may be a little rough around the edges, but with the right person, he’ll thrive. If you’re willing to give an older dog a chance and have the patience to work with Max’s unique personality, he could be the perfect match for you!

Story
Tootie is an extremely loyal little girl, I’ve had her since she was a baby . I’m having to rehome her only because where I’m living . People keep complaining about barking . She doesn’t bark constantly. But she does if she hears people walking around outside the door . I work 12 hour shifts and I can’t be home with her all the time . She needs someone who is home often she loves to lay with me . She’s a Velcro dog . Maybe with proper training she could be better and more independent. I just don’t have the resources to provide her with that kind of training. I’m heartbroken to have to do this but I have to have a place to live . She’s a playful pup and loves her humans

Story
This sweet pup is a love bug who will form a strong attachment to his human. He’s a bit timid and fearful, especially around the male in the house, but he adores his female human and seeks out their attention. Right now, he’s dealing with some intense separation anxiety, so he would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. His anxiety doesn’t seem to ease with the presence of another dog, so consistency and patience are key in helping him feel safe when left alone. If you’re willing to work through this with him, he’ll start to feel more comfortable. He loves to cuddle and would prefer to sleep in your bed, soaking up all the love he can get. While he does okay in a crate or pen if someone is in the room with him, he struggles when left alone in a crate and might experience stress. He gets along well with other dogs, though he’s a bit unsure about dogs passing by. He has not had experience on a leash yet since he’s not fully vaccinated, but with time and training, he should do well. When it comes to potty training, he still relies on pee pads and occasionally has accidents outside of them, so he’ll need someone patient who can help him improve. He’s a high-energy pup who loves zoomies but also enjoys snuggling up for a nap. He’s a total lap dog and enjoys being carried around in a bag, making him an ideal companion for someone who wants a close bond with their dog. If you’re looking for a loving companion who wants to be by your side all the time and you have the time and patience to work with him, he’ll reward you with endless affection and loyalty. ##2314352##

Story
Pocket dog alert! With his fluttly coat and itty, bitty size, Peanut is such a cutie and only 5 pounds! Don't let him fool you though, he is a total power walker on his leash. Guessed to be a Pomeranian and perhaps long-haired Chihuahua, around 4 to 5 years old, Peanut is house trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. This friendly guy is also great wth kids and has lived with them in his previous temporary foster home in Texas. Peanut also is great with dogs of all sizes and fits right in with his big dog foster dog siblings. He likes to sleep in a small next by your head but will also gladly sleep in a small crate. He has been left free roam for short periods of time and has been well behaved.  This little guy’s world was turned upside down when his owner could no longer care for him, and he found himself at the shelter. But Ozzy’s sweet nature quickly won over one of the volunteers, who couldn’t bear to see him in the noisy shelter — so she brought him home to foster him. Ozzy has been a total gem in his foster home! He’s well-behaved, easygoing, and has shown that he knows how to make himself right at home. Ozzy loves the young daughter in the home and gets He’s now dreaming of finding his forever family. Ozzy’s loving personality make him a perfect fit for a home where he’ll be cherished. If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart, Ozzy might be the one for you! According to the vet, Ozzy is around 4 years of age and is a 5.6 pound Pomeranium / Long Haired Chihuahua mix. Ozzy has significant tartar on his teeth and has a luxating patella on his right hind leg. He is adopted as is. He can’t wait to meet you! Story
Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you!
