This is one of the hardest things Ie ever had to write, but I want to do what best for Gucci. I love him deeply, and I want him to have a home where he can be happier, calmer, and truly understood. He loves walks, toys, and especially hitting a ball with his head like a tiny Air Bud. Story
Toby is a very sweet chocolate yorkipoo. Unfortunately, Toby has severe separation anxiety. It has been that way from the first day we met. It has gradually improved over the past year but still can be difficult to manage. Toby would do amazing with someone who can be around a lot. (A family, retired individual, SAHM, work-from-home situation, etc. would definitely be a great fit for Toby.) I live alone and have a busy work schedule. I gave up one of my jobs recently (for various reasons) which has helped Toby to have company. But I can’t do that forever. Toby does amazing with my friend’s family (4 people, several pets) and I think it’s because he always has human contact (someone is usually at home or if everyone is away, it’s very brief). He LOVES to be held and cuddled. In fact, he’ll almost sigh in relief at being held.

Quigley is a fun little terrier mix, about 10 pounds and close to 3 years old. He is full of energy, vibrant, cuddly, and guaranteed to make you smile every time you look at him. Quigley is just the right size to curl up in your lap, be held in your arms, or travel along with you on visits and adventures. He is easygoing, good with people and other dogs, and although he hasn’t been introduced to cats yet, we think he would likely do fine with them too. This sweet boy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current on his shots—ready to start his new life with a lucky adopter. Story
Simmba has been waiting for his forever home for over a year now at Shelter Hope. Simmba is a 3 y/o and 13 lb Poodle mix who was surrendered the day after Christmas 2024. Before that, he lived only outdoors and received less attention as his family’s children grew older. Despite this, Simmba has a huge heart and blossoms with patience, consistency, and kindness. Simmba loves fetch, squeaky toys, and zooming or rolling through the grass, as well as soaking up the sun on his favorite bench. Indoors, he keeps his lamby toy close, happily offers enthusiastic face kisses, and adores cuddles, belly rubs, and simply being near his people. He also respects boundaries and will retreat to his bed or “sanctuary” when asked. His foster tells us he seems fully potty trained, food-motivated, and already knows the “sit” command. Simmba can be protective and sometimes needs help navigating his big feelings (which is why he’s often called a “project dog”) but he bonds deeply and is incredibly loyal once trust is built. He does have some skin allergies, possibly food-related, and currently wears a cone to prevent licking, though it doesn’t slow down his playful, quirky personality. He does best in a calm, low-chaos environment, where he can grow more confident and relaxed. His foster is actively socializing him with new people and other dogs, and he’s making excellent progress. With his fun-loving nature, Simmba could do well as an only dog or with another small, friendly, playful female dog as a companion. What he truly needs is a home without kids who is willing to give him the time and understanding he’s waited so long for. Simmba has so much love to give.
