Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Cole! Cole is an adorable 1-year-old, 9 lb Yorkiepoo who came to us as an owner surrender when his previous owner could no longer care for him. He is currently thriving in a foster home and is ready to find his forever family! Cole is a happy, energetic, and playful little guy with a big personality packed into a small body. He is extremely social, loves people, and absolutely lives for playtime with other dogs. He plays hard, can be vocal, and has a ton of youthful puppy energy ~ so he is looking for a home with another young, playful dog who can be his full-time playmate and help keep him well-socialized and fulfilled. Because of his energy level and vocal nature, Cole requires a freestanding home with a securely fenced yard — apartments, condos, and shared-wall living are not a good fit for him. He also does not do well with crate confinement and prefers the freedom to move around and explore his home environment. Cole is smart, eager, and still very much in his puppy phase. He will benefit from an adopter who is committed to continuing his training, providing structure, and giving him plenty of physical and mental outlets. A young, active household that enjoys play, enrichment, and daily activity would be ideal for him. This spunky boy will also need regular grooming to keep his soft coat healthy and looking its best. At the end of a busy day, Cole loves to cuddle up and soak in attention from his people ~ he’s affectionate, sweet, and full of love! If you’re looking for a fun, energetic companion and have a playful dog at home looking for a best friend, Cole may be the perfect match for you! Cole is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (she is currently in foster care): Meet Cricket! She is an extremely shy, sweet 1-year-old, 10-lb Yorkie Terrier mix who is looking for a quiet, patient home. Cricket needs an adopter who understands that trust takes time. She will do best with someone who can give her the space, patience, and consistency she needs to feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Because of her shy nature, Cricket would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with no children. She will need a standalone home outside of the city with a securely fenced yard, as she can be a flight risk and needs a safe space to explore at her own pace. Cricket does well with other dogs and currently lives in a foster home with several canine companions. She could be happy with another calm dog or as an only dog. While she is not cuddly, she is quiet, gentle, and well-behaved, making her a lovely companion for someone who appreciates a more independent, sensitive soul. She is working on potty training in her foster home and is pad trained. Cricket will also require regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and comfortable. If you’re a patient, kind person looking to give a shy dog the safe, peaceful home she deserves, Cricket may be the perfect match for you. Cricket is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
Animal Information:   Egg is a tiny 1-year-old Yorkie mix weighing just 9 lbs, with a big personality and an even bigger story behind his name. He came to the Caddo Parish shelter as an owner surrender alongside his buddy Pinto, but quickly made things unforgettable by slipping past multiple people and doors for an impressive little “eggscape.” He stayed nearby, outsmarting every attempt to catch him while cats and several opossums were trapped instead. After days of searching, Sara finally found him tucked away deep inside a hole between concrete blocks, his scruffy face peeking out from the back of a tunnel. She carefully lassoed him and brought him to safety at last. Egg earned his name because, instead of hunting for Easter eggs, Sara was searching for one very lost little dog. Now this clever, resilient pup is getting ready for his next chapter in Seattle, where he’ll finally get the fresh start he deserves. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Caddo Parish Animal Services in partnership with Tail Lights Rescue Project. She will be transferred via TLRP, arriving to foster care on 4/11/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. May 1, 2026, 4:54 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 6 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. May 1, 2026, 4:54 pm
