Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 6 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. May 23, 2026, 11:22 am

Story
Animal Profile: Smidget (who we call Sage),  Audrey,  and Tiny are 10 month old small but “leggy” German Shepherd/Poodle sisters who are ready for a new beginning! Born into a hoarding situation, they’ve already overcome a tough start, and thanks to our partners at Washington Health Outreach, they were able to find their way into rescue.  Now safe and healthy, Smidget, Audrey and Tiny are discovering the world for the first time ... grass under their paws, toys to chase, and gentle hands to trust. They’re still learning that life can be full of kindness and fun, but each day brings a little more confidence and a few more tail wags.   These girls are blossoming into the wonderful dogs they were always meant to be, and we can’t wait to see them continue their journey with families who will help them shine. Foster Update: More like a wild fairytale creature than a typical dog, petite Sage could pass for a coyote/fox hybrid and acts like a woodland sprite who accidentally found herself in the human world and is still trying to figure out the rules. In her current foster home, Sage has made great strides toward learning to be a dog. Initially scared of her own shadow, she’s integrated well into a large pack of dogs and loves running, playing, and wresting with dogs of all sizes and ages. She also likes cats and horses. Curious but still unsure of new people, it took a couple of weeks for Sage to start tentatively asking her foster mom for petting and affection. Sage now enjoys following her people around the house, comes when called, and is a sweet, soft, gentle presence who is just starting to show her silly, whimsical side. We have taught her to approach new people and “touch” with her nose as an introduction. She is fully potty trained and crate trained, enjoys daily routines, and is an ideal home office companion for her foster mom. Sage is looking for a home with at least one other friendly, playful dog who can act as a role model and friend, and a securely-fenced yard so she can safely run, play, and explore her world. This pretty, leggy little lady will do best in a patient home that finds satisfaction in helping a dog who got a rough start in life learn to trust and evolve into a more confident, loving pet. Sage is a special project who will be 100% worth the time and effort for the right home. Sage is looking for a calm home that can offer her structure and a routine with a family that has dog experience, and that can give the time she needs to be comfortable. She will need a patient and confident adopter who can show her the world is not so scary and provide the security she needs as she gains confidence. At this time, we are only considering homes for Sage with a confident friendly canine companion and a securely fenced yard. We are not considering apartments or homes with young children. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our local rescue partner and arriving to our area foster care on 10/07/2025. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.  May 23, 2026, 11:22 am

Story
Meet Wemby — a goofy, lovable boy with a big personality and lots of love to give! He’s good with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around, though when the excitement gets going and another dog starts barking, he may try to hump them. He’s still learning his manners and will need continued guidance and structure as he matures. Wemby is also good with cats and does well sharing his space with feline friends. He may have a little food aggression, so feeding separately or giving him his own space during meals is recommended. His neuter should help with some of his marking behaviors, but right now he may still try to mark occasionally. This handsome boy is looking for a family that understands young dogs sometimes come with a few quirks, but also knows the reward of watching them grow into amazing companions. Wemby is sweet, fun, and ready for a forever home willing to continue helping him be his best self! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Freeman is a sweet and gentle poodle mix who is ready to start his next chapter in a loving home. Born around October 8, 2024, he came to us after being owner surrendered due to his mom moving into a nursing home—no fault of his own. Freeman must go to a home with NO cats. He has previously lived with young children.  Freeman has a kind, affectionate personality and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets. He enjoys companionship and is eager to bond with his people, making him a great fit for a family or individual looking for a loyal, loving dog. He’s ready to leave shelter life behind and settle back into a home where he can feel safe, cared for, and part of the family again. As a poodle mix, Freeman will require regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and comfortable, so his future family should be prepared for routine trips to the groomer. He is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention, microchipped, and heartworm negative—completely ready to find his forever family. Freeman’s adoption fee is $400. To apply, please visit www.adoggie4you.org . This dog is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and locations along the East Coast. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Moe! Moe is a beautiful little white Maltipoo with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to bond with the right family. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He will need to go to a home with another companion dog to help him feel comfortable and confident. Moe’s best friend here is Mitchell, and they would love to be adopted together. With a patient and loving family who will give him time to settle in, he will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Moe is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a sweet pup who just needs a little patience to shine, Moe may be the perfect match for Adoption Fee: $400 Apply to adopt Moe: www.adoggie4you.org Give this gentle boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Sweet Fran is one of a kind! She bonds strongly with her people and is a wonderful little companion. She loves to be held, snuggle in laps, and go for neighborhood walks. You will never feel lonely with Fran around! Fran does well with other small dogs and cats, though any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Fran doesn't like being alone and is looking for a home where people are home most of the time. She will likely do well with kids who are old enough to handle her gently. If you're ready to fall in love with Fran, send in an adoption application today! *Fran is currently in a foster home and is not located in the shelter.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi! My name is Wilbur, and I came all the way from Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 6-year-old Poodle boy and weigh 13 lbs — small, sweet, and full of charm. I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m waiting for my chance to travel to Seattle. To make this possible, I need a foster home to welcome me when I arrive. Once I’m here, I’ll also be looking for my forever adoptive home filled with love and care. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. My adoption fee of $1,595 is a donation that is non-refundable and helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own or purchase one from us. We do not guarantee the breed or age of our dogs. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all adoption fees are donations that help more dogs get their second chance. If you think you can open your heart to a very special boy like me, please fill out an adoption or foster application on my page at www.gingerspetrescue.org .March 7, 2026, 8:59 pm
