Story
Animal Profile: Ramen is an estimated 6 year old, 15 lb neutered male miniature poodle who was a hot mess when he was pulled from the Carson shelter. He was at risk due to overcrowding at the shelter but assessed to be friendly with people and dogs. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care.  Foster Update: Ramen is a cool little cup of noodles! He has been a quick study in foster care and is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. He loves to work and train and is very smart. He was recently introduced to odor detection work and his trainer said he was a natural. He catches on to new commands quickly and would love someone to work with. Ramen would do best in an adult only household. He sometimes takes time to warm up to strangers and he is more trusting of female companions. He has shown a tendency to resource guard when it comes to removing high value toys from his possession, but his trainer is working on tackling that behavior. Ramen is dog friendly, and would be best matched with a similar sized female dog his age. Ramen has had a lot of interest from families wanting a lap dog; he prefers to show affection through play and is not a couch potato. Ramen needs an experienced owner who comfortable addressing his guarding behaviors, willing to continue exercising his body and his mind, and able to commit to regular grooming. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. Ramen's adoption also includes take home training and support from Nirvana K9 Training. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Apply online at  www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: Ramen was surrendered to Carson city shelter and transported to Dog Gone Seattle via Wiggle Butts arriving to foster care on 5/19/24; he is available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Smidget (who we call Sage), Audrey,  and Tiny small but “leggy” German Shepherd/Poodle sisters who are ready for a new beginning! Born into a hoarding situation, they’ve already overcome a tough start, and thanks to our partners at Washington Health Outreach, they were able to find their way into rescue.  Now safe and healthy, Smidget, Audrey and Tiny are discovering the world for the first time ... grass under their paws, toys to chase, and gentle hands to trust. They’re still learning that life can be full of kindness and fun, but each day brings a little more confidence and a few more tail wags.   These girls are blossoming into the wonderful dogs they were always meant to be, and we can’t wait to see them continue their journey with families who will help them shine. Foster Update: More like a wild fairytale creature than a typical dog, petite Sage (now 11 months old) could pass for a coyote/fox hybrid and acts like a woodland sprite who accidentally found herself in the human world and is still trying to figure out the rules. In her current foster home, Sage has made great strides toward learning to be a dog. Initially scared of her own shadow, she’s integrated well into a large pack of dogs and loves running, playing, and wresting with dogs of all sizes and ages. She also likes cats and horses. Curious but still unsure of new people, it took a couple of weeks for Sage to start tentatively asking her foster mom for petting and affection. Sage now enjoys following her people around the house, comes when called, and is a sweet, soft, gentle presence who is just starting to show her silly, whimsical side. We have taught her to approach new people and “touch” with her nose as an introduction. She is fully potty trained and crate trained, enjoys daily routines, and is an ideal home office companion for her foster mom. Sage is looking for a home with at least one other friendly, playful dog who can act as a role model and friend, and a securely fenced yard so she can safely run, play, and explore her world. This pretty, leggy little lady will do best in a patient home that finds satisfaction in helping a dog who got a rough start in life learn to trust and evolve into a more confident, loving pet. Sage is a special project who will be 100% worth the time and effort for the right home. Sage is looking for a calm home that can offer her structure and a routine with a family that has dog experience, and that can give the time she needs to be comfortable. She will need a patient and confident adopter who can show her the world is not so scary and provide the security she needs as she gains confidence. At this time, we are only considering homes for Sage with a confident friendly canine companion and a securely fenced yard. We are not considering apartments or homes with young children. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our local rescue partner and arriving to our area foster care on 10/07/2025. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.  June 13, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Feta! Feta is a 2-year-old, 15 lb Poodle who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This charming little guy is as delightful as they come and is ready to find a forever home of his very own! Feta is sweet, affectionate, and loves being with his people. Whether he’s joining you for a neighborhood stroll, relaxing by your side, or tagging along on daily adventures, he’s happiest when he’s part of the action. He walks well on leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world with his family. He does well with other dogs and could happily live with a canine companion. He also has the confidence and easygoing nature to do well as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. Feta is looking for a home that will continue to include him in daily activities, provide him with plenty of companionship, and keep him well-groomed. As a Poodle, regular grooming will be an important part of keeping him comfortable, healthy, and looking his best. This handsome boy has a wonderful temperament, a loving personality, and all the qualities that make for an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal little sidekick to accompany you through life’s adventures, Feta might just be your perfect match! Feta is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi… I’m Ned. Have you ever wanted a Golden Doodle, but smaller? I look just that! Please read my bio thoroughly. Only available for adoption in Texas. I’m a quiet, gentle guy with a really soft heart. I came here with a few of my companions through a transfer, and I’ll be honest—I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and kind place. I haven’t always had that, so it takes me a little time to trust new people. At first, I might hang back and just watch. I need someone very patient who will let me go at my own pace and not rush me. I need someone who can understand it may take a long time for me to become comfortable around humans, as I have had a rough beginning to life. I will try to run away from you. But I am not aggressive, or have ever tried to bite.  With me being scared, I need you to understand that I will need patience with going outside. I will try to run away, so keep me on a harness until I learn coming back inside on my own is okay. I do feel more confident around other dogs, so a home with another canine is a must. They can help show me that life isn't so bad. I am unsure how I do with cats. Older considerate kids only.  Due to my breed, I’ll also need regular grooming, but I’ve been very good for it here. Each time I will even relax in someone’s lap while they are taking care of me… I think that shows I do want to trust—I just need a little time to get there. I do want to be upfront about my health—I’m heartworm positive right now, but I’ve already started treatment. I’ve been on antibiotics and am going through the ProHeart 12 protocol approved by the American Heartworm Society. The good news is that with this treatment, I should test negative in about 8–10 months. I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccines and prevention, and microchipped, so I’m ready when the right person comes along. My adoption fee is $400. If you think you might be my person, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org. Due to me being scared and nervous, I am not an option for out-of-state transport, and must remain in Texas. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 12, 2026, 6:46 pm

Story
Meet Lumi! This adorable approximately 3.5-year-old Poodle mix is packed full of personality, affection, and fun. Lumi is the perfect combination of playful companion and cuddle buddy. He believes in giving 100% effort to everything he does, whether that's wrestling with his dog friends, exploring the yard, or snuggling up for a well-earned nap. Lumi is a social little guy who loves playing with other dogs, especially those his own size. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion who enjoys a good game of chase or wrestling. Despite his enthusiasm, Lumi is a gentleman and takes corrections well from other dogs, especially the ladies. When playtime is over, Lumi transforms into a total lovebug. He adores people and is happiest when he's close to his humans soaking up attention, belly rubs, and cuddles. His friendly, outgoing personality makes him a joy to have around. Lumi is also cat-friendly and has several good house manners already in place. He knows how to use a doggy door, is crate trained, and appreciates a soft, cozy dog bed where he can recharge after a busy day of fun. One look at Lumi's adorable little smile and you'll understand why everyone falls in love with him. To help keep that smile healthy and comfortable, Lumi is already scheduled for a dental procedure on June 23rd. Opal – Professional Cuddler Seeking a Forever Lap ❤️ Meet Opal, an approximately 5-year-old Poodle mix whose favorite hobbies include snuggling, napping, and being as close to her people as possible.
