Story
Hello, I’ve had my doggie since she was a puppy and she’s really great!! Her name is Mia and she was born in 2012. We moved to AZ from Minnesota in 2013 and thats been a great process. She does have a brother they look almost alike she just has short hair and his is longer. She loves to play with toys and going for walks and being very affectionate. We have definitely watched each other grow! I don’t want her to feel as if im not wanting to do anything with her I just have been busy with myself and my medication and it’s bothering me. She’s getting older so with that being said I do put warm water in her food before she eats because of her teeth but she eats fine. She enjoys just hanging out but the other dogs in the house loves to mess with her and I think its a little stressing for her because they are all younger. I have type 1 diabetes so my days are kinda hectic. She has lots of patience. I don’t wanna let my dog go but I also don’t know what else to do so here we.

Story
Banx is a charming 10-year-old Yorkie/Poodle mix weighing 13 pounds. Don't let his age fool you—this curious little guy wants to be involved in everything that's going on and loves being part of the action.Banx is housetrained, crate trained, and has excellent manners. He knows basic commands like sit and leave it, walks beautifully on a leash, and even knows when it's time for his daily stroll. At night, he enjoys sleeping in his crate, especially when it's in the bedroom near his people. One of Banx's most endearing traits is his talent for begging. When he wants a treat, he'll sit up on his hind legs and show off just how adorable he is—it's hard not to give in to that sweet face! While he may be a little shy when meeting new people, Banx warms up quickly and soon becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. He also gets along well with other dogs.Banx is currently being treated for Valley Fever and is doing well with his care. Our Adoption Counselors will share more with interested adopters, regarding his treatment. He's looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive. To get started in the process for meeting Banx, please visit https://azfriends.org/testing/adopt.html to complete an adoption consultation form (this can also be done upon arrival), and then head over to the Adoption Center to meet with an Adoption Counselor. All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
He's a really sweet boy, and so smart. But we have a cat that will not stop bothering him and attacking him, and we feel bad. Hes a pretty small guy. He isn't aggressive, but sometimes he does get spooked easily by quick motions or people he doesn't know, and he's very shy. I don't have the time for him that he needs unfortunately. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Story
His name is Gangster, but the only crime this Jack Russel Terrier/Yorkie mix will be committing is stealing your heart. Gangster snuck into our senior rescue a tad young at 6 years old but we are so happy to have this affectionate and happy guy. He found himself at a rural shelter when his owner was placed in hospice care, and now Gangster is ready for his next loving chapter in life. Gangster comes with some excellent credentials from his foster mom. She describes him as basically perfect. He loves to nap and cuddle near his person but is also ready for play time with his favorite toys. Gangster has great leash manners and doesn't even muster a woof when passing other dogs or people. Perfectly potty-trained would best describe him and if you need to leave him home for a while -- no problem. No accidents is his motto. He is game for grabbing coffee with you or running errands as he does very well in the car. Grab Gangster ASAP before he makes his getaway!
