If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Cami, and I am aa very timid, sweet Yorkie girl who was born on 9/20/19, and I weigh 8 pounds. I spent five years in a breeding facility so this bog world is scary. Iam very sweet and get along well with other dogs so a small, furry sibling to learn from is a requirement. An experienced adopter would be ideal.  If you have been waiting for a sweet Yorkie, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. My name is J J and I am a little Yorkie boy who had a very bad start in life. I was mis-treated so I need an experienced adopter who will be patient with me and teach me all about this big new world. I am 8 years old, and I weigh 9 pounds. I need a quiet all adult home with a fenced in yard and a sibling to help me learn would be ideal. I was adopted and my mommy had a family emergency and couldn’t take care of me anymore, so she returned me to BRAS. If you have been waiting for a beautiful Yorkie, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, J J 061524-14April 27, 2025, 2:45 pm

Story
**OVERT OLIVER** Age 2yrs Phoenix AZ. Please help us welcome Oliver to the FTP family. Oliver was found as a stray and one of our volunteers took him in. No family could be found so we are happy to provide a safe-haven for him. We gave him a name, a safe landing spot, full vet care and check-up, and the opportunity to find a fur-ever family! We gave him the adjective "Overt" because it is plainly and readily apparent that he needs time and space to adjust to new surroundings. He does not keep his feelings secret and that needs to be honored and respected by a potential family. He is the breed of dog everyone wants...a gorgeous Maltipoo....but it is about what Oliver needs and that is time to decompress and get comfortable in an unfamiliar environment with new people. Oliver needs at least 3 days in a new home to really just be left alone, he does not want to be touched....we do not know what he has been through....but we have figured out what he needs. He needs "let me figure s*it out and settle in" time. Once he does, he's AH-mazing! He is clearly photogenic, loves his foster friends, loves to play fetch and chase the birds in the yard. Oliver is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. If you are looking for an immediate connection with a loveable lap-dog....Oliver is not for you. If, however, you are willing to put in the time, energy, compassion, love and understanding of Olivers needs....then he will make the most loyal and amazing fur-baby fur-ever. If you think you have what it takes to open your heart and your home to Oliver, please fill out an application and set up a meet!

Story
**TERRIFIC THELMA** Age 2.3yrs Phoenix AZ. This adorable Maltese mix weighing it at just 8lbs was found as a stray in Goodyear in January. When she was found she was horribly matted and really needed to decompress from her survival adventure. As you can see her hair has grown back and she is adorable! She is also fully vetted, UTD on shots, altered, microchipped....and ready for her fur-ever home! Once Thelma feels comfortable with you she is a total snuggle-bug! She needs a home that will give her time to settle in on her time schedule (usually just a couple of days) and she will be your best-est friend. She in in foster with medium and small dogs, she is OK with wearing clothes, is potty trained, quiet and loves being held. Think you have the patience to give this girl space for a few days while she gets comfortable? Then fill out an application and come meet her!
