Story
I melt some hearts, I bite some ankles. My name is Kai and I will charm you with my good looks and reel you in with my cuddles. I love belly rubs too! I am a special little guy, but I'm not without flaws. I am currently working on myself. I realize that I need professional behavior help and training so I require a home that will be invested in getting me the help I need. For me this looks like being the only pet and only child. I'll need you to drive me to appointments with the veterinary behaviorist once in a while and I'll need to take some medication. You'll get to watch me grow as I learn to trust and get my life in order. I don't want to be lonely and shuffled from home to home any longer so we both need to be committed to making this work. I'll need you to be understanding and I will try my best to listen, please you, and be a good boy. XoXo -Kai *Kai requires an adopter with extensive dog behavior knowledge and experience. My adoption fee is $375 and includes the following: -Spay/neuter surgery -All current vaccinations -Microchip -FREE wellness exam through VCA Animal Hospitals -$25 gift voucher from our friends at My Pet Market For more information about me or to schedule a meet and greet appointment, please complete an adoption questionnaire.

Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Important InformationPlease read!If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train. Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react.  Hi! My name is ivy and I am a beautiful Yorkie/Cairn girl who is 1 year old, and I weigh  8 pounds.  I am very sweet, but also very shy. I am dainty, gentle, and love to be petted. I am a quiet girl who loves to lay in doggy beds with the other dogs in my foster home. I will need a fenced in yard because I am not comfortable on a leash. I do love to play so another young dog in my home that is playful is a requirement. If you have been waiting for a sweet, calm girl to love, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Love, IvyJanuary 28, 2025, 11:18 pm

Story
Miss Greta is a quirky little terrier mix who is approx. 6-7 years young and 7 lbs. This little scruff muffin—with her silly mohawk and bushy eyebrows—is searching for her perfect person. Background: For several days, Greta and her pal Buffy were running around terrified and unable to be caught by concerned neighbors. HARTT stepped in to help trap these girls and they made their way to foster homes where they await forever homes.  Personality: Greta is sweet, cuddly, and loving, but selective with her affections. She is wary of new people, but we are working on her socialization skills and she is making progress. Once you break through and earn her trust, Greta will love you deeply. She'll roll over for belly rubs, snuggle up next to you on the couch, and give the sweetest little kisses. Greta enjoys going for walks, lounging in her stroller, playing with toys, and chewing on bully sticks. (Greta loves her stroller so much it will be included with her adoption.) Health: Greta is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and received a dental cleaning. Training: Greta is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. Ideal Home: Greta requires a special home with love, patience, and a family who will continue to work on her confidence-building. Greta would thrive in a child-free home with a confident female owner who will help her break out of her comfort zone. Greta is less comfortable around men. She is used to being around many different dogs in her foster home, but does best with small, calm dogs. Greta is also fine with cats but would likely do just fine as an only pet. Greta will not use a dog door and likes someone to accompany her when she goes outside. A secure, fenced-in yard is essential to ensure her safety. Adoption Requirements: Greta’s adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area, have secure fencing, and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application  *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.  February 14, 2025, 8:50 am

Lilo loves to cuddle and be close to her human, and be petted. She loves to lounge around the house, couches, and beds. She is a ninja when she plays, and can hold her own despite being only 8 lbs. She is sweet and loves head, neck, and belly rubs. Lilo currently is in a foster home where she engages play with 2 other dogs about her size. [It is believed that Stitch is her son.]
