Story
Teddy is a charming and adorable 5-year-old pup with a unique look that will melt your heart! Weighing just 16.6 pounds, this sweet Yorkie/Carin Terrier mix? has a Muppet-like appearance that’s truly irresistible. Teddy loves the staff and loves to follow them everywhere, eager to see and be part of everything you do. He’s best suited for an adult-only home and may benefit from some additional leash and potty training. He is already adjusting to his new routine. Teddy is doing very well here and will go outside with the command “Go Potty.” He also requires regular professional grooming and some home care to keep him looking his best. Teddy is scheduled for neutering but is available for adoption now. He’s microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you’re looking for a loyal, cute companion to share your life, apply today to give Teddy his forever home! Story
JuJu is a sweet, adorable six-month-old Yorkie/terrier mix weighing 12 pounds, ready to find her forever family! She’s a slightly scruffy little girl with a loving personality, eager for a lifetime of companionship. Having faced some neglect in her past, JuJu thrives on love and attention, and she needs a home where someone is with her most of the time. She’s a bit shy around new people, especially men, and prefers women. JuJu may bark at people wearing hats or hoodies, but with patience, she’ll warm up to new friends. She gets along well with gentle dogs and loves to play with toys, especially tug of war! She’s still a puppy, so she’ll need help with leash training once fully vaccinated, and some house training to help her settle in. She’s already learned to use the doggie door and goes outside to potty with her canine friends. JuJu is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea-treated, and dewormed—she’s all set to become your new best friend! If you’re looking for a loyal, playful companion who will shower you with love, JuJu might be the perfect match. Come meet her and give her the happily ever after she deserves! She will bring you lots of love and Joy. Story
Meet Sasquatch Cryptid If you’ve ever wished for a tiny, lovable shadow who believes personal space is a team sport—Sasquatch Cryptid might just be your guy. Sasquatch is a 10-year-old, 7-lb Maltese/Yorkie mix with a charming brown-and-grey coat and a BIG love for life. He adores other dogs and people, and his happiest place is on a cozy dog bed, preferably surrounded by canine friends. The more, the merrier! Despite having cataracts, Sasquatch gets around like a pro. He’s figured out the doggie door, uses a stool to climb onto the couch, and enjoys wandering the backyard to sniff out all the good smells. He’s learning to walk on a leash, is making progress with housetraining, and doesn’t mind car rides—bonus points if the adventure ends with snacks or cuddles. This little guy is also a world-class snuggler. Sasquatch loves being carried around like a baby, whether that’s in your arms or tucked into a sling, and he’s perfectly content tagging along wherever you go. Sasquatch does not like being alone and will happily follow you from room to room, barking if he gets left behind. Because of his impaired vision and his desire to always be right by your side, he would do best in a home without mobility challenges, as he can accidentally walk right into your feet while you’re moving. Overall, Sasquatch is an active, affectionate, and resilient little dog who wants to be part of everything you do—on the couch, in the car, or carried close to your heart. He is currently fostered in Vacaville and available for meet and greets. &#226&#156&#130&#239&#184&#143 Medical note: Sasquatch is scheduled for neuter and dental surgery on 3/3. He is eligible for a foster-to-adopt placement if his new family is willing to bring him to our vet in Pittsburg for his procedures. If you’re looking for a sweet, social companion who will happily be your sidekick (or your sling buddy), Sasquatch Cryptid is ready to join your pack.   GENERAL INFO:   Housebroken?: Working on it Crate Trained?: Yes Leash Trained?: Working on it Rides Well in Car?: Yes Non-Shedding?: No Good with cats?: Unknown Good with dogs?: Yes Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: Yes Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5 Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.  Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee.
