Story
This sweet 5 pound pup is a 1 year old Yorkie/Chi mix named Zoey. Her owner no longer had the time to devote to her so they felt it best she be rehomed. Her favorite things to do include playing with her family and the young children in her previous home. She felt a little overwhelmed by the size of the dog that she lived with (a Doberman) so we're not sure if she might be more comfortable with dogs a bit smaller. Tiny dogs tend to be more sensitive to those kinds of things but they are very loyal and loving companions to their family- and very holdable! She will need some refreshing to finish up her potty training so she doesn't have any accidents in her next home. We have vaccinated and microchipped her and she will be spayed before leaving. $300.00 adoption. Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
How could this delicate little nugget have been a stray!?!? She has been neglected for some time and is settling into the good life, learning that she is safe and sound. She is kind, quiet, mellow and a gentle old soul. Sophie is good with dogs, probably cats, and gentle teenagers. She truly is a kind soul! We think that she's 14 years old and she weighs a whopping 5 lbs. Our vet has done extensive tests on our little nugget and, other than minor changes to her liver, she is healthier than first thought! She will need to take a liver supplement for the foreseeable future, and we will have her spayed once she's gained a little weight. Sophie deserves the world. We know that she will be a wonderfully loyal lap dog and she will do well in most any mellow home.

Story
Say hello to our darling Roxanne! She is about 5 years old and weighs in at 7.9 pounds. She is a pretty, black and gold, Yorkie Mix. She has a twinkle in her eyes that will melt your heart! She was surrendered by her owner because they didn’t have time for her and left her crated often. Roxie will cry when crated so please be a crate less home. She requires a family home where someone is with her most of the time. She does not like to be left alone. If you are looking for a companion that will give you lots of love then this girl is for you! She really LOVES to cuddle her human and would love to spend quality time hanging out on the couch, watching TV or napping. She may need some leash training. Roxie will bark at strangers so no apartments or condos please. She will require regular professional grooming every 4-6 weeks! Roxie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. Are you ready to make your family complete? Roxie is ready to be loved! Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Happy, friendly boy!Hi Everyone! My name is Peanut! I'm a happy young boy who loves my humans and my 4-legged siblings! I play nicely with my toys, I am an excellent eater, I sleep all night in my crate and I do my business outside. My foster mom says I am the nicest boy. She thinks a home where someone is home a lot and there is another dog for me to play with would be awesome. I also love to snuggle, so a snuggly human or two would be great! I don't really like being crated during the day, but I settle down after a couple minutes and take a nap. When she gets home, I make my mom laugh when I do my splooty crawl across the floor :-) Please fill out an application to meet me! Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 5, 2024, 12:42 pm

Story
Please meet Augie. He is such a calm, sweet guy. He NEEDS a home. He is so gentle that he just doesn't do well in a rescue situation. It can be a foster home or a forever home. But a home he needs! He has gained some weight in rescue but with regular walks and outings, I am sure he will get back to a good weight. He does well with other dogs but he prefers to just stay out of trouble and clear of hoopla! I just know he would LOVE to have someone to spend time with him. Doesn't need much...just some love. If you think Augie might work in your life, please text your interest to be sent on online application form or print your own from the Forms section at wrenyorkierescue.org as well as reading the “how it works” section to understand the Rescue process. Again, even a foster would be wonderful! As a foster, if you live near the rescue, we will supply his food. Thanks for considering sweet Augie.

Story
SEPT 2024: Miss Tazzie is a very affectionate & companionable girl who likes to keep her person in sight at all times-i.e. she will follow whenever her person moves into another room or outside, and becomes quite vocal when left behind; also VERY vocal with pleasure at her person’s return, only quieting down once her person enters the home, sits down & says SHUSH. For this reason TAZ needs a detached home with yards, rather than an apartment building, and preferably another canine housemate to play with; If you can provide a suitable environment for a dog with vocal separation anxiety, please revisit Wrenyorkierescue.org & read the “how it works” section to understand the Rescue process, or text the number below to request a fill-in-online application if you don’t have a printer.
