Ramsey would really love a family to go home with! He is a bundle of energy, ready to play all day with someone. He also loves water! If water is around, he is ready to play in it, even his water bowl sometimes. This boy is just full of life and ready to live it with people he loves. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. Benny is a 12-year-old Yorkie who is incredibly sweet, loving, and affectionate. He has been a very special part of my life for many years. I recently moved to Atlanta for work and am looking for a temporary foster home through January while I get settled. This is NOT a permanent adoption—Benny will be returning to me in January, and I will remain his owner and fully financially responsible for his care. Benny is blind, so he does best in a calm, safe, and consistent environment. He loves companionship, attention, and being close to his person. He should not be around other dogs unsupervised or unprotected. He also cannot have table food due to previous pancreatitis episodes, so his diet needs to be followed carefully. I will provide his food, medications, veterinary care, grooming, and other necessary expenses. I will also maintain regular visits and coordinate pickups. Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who will give Benny lots of love, companionship, and a safe place.

We got Mosley 7 years ago. He has the cutest personality and is super lovable. He needs lots of attention. He prefers being with his family all the time, but he does okay with being left when needed. He loves walks, being outside, cuddling under a blanket, and playing with his toys.

Sammy is a Chihuahua Yorkie mix who is about 15 years old. He's a super sweet boy, but he needs a home with someone who doesn't go out much as he tends to have accidents when he gets anxious. Someone older or retired is probably perfect. He has severe separation anxiety, which means if you don't want your dog to be consistently right by your feet, he's probably not the right fit for you. He loves to be in your space once he gets to know you. He is used to roaming around outside without a leash, but is able to walk on one without hassle. He eats fresh pet food at the moment, he doesn't tend to enjoy dry kibble, and he's quite picky about treats. He's up to date on all his shots, but the vet did say he has the beginnings of a heart murmur which is quite common for small breed dogs. Nothing major yet, but something to keep an eye on as he continues aging. I need to rehome him because my family is unable to provide adequate care for him emotionally and financially.
