Story
Taffy is a 10 month old, 9 lb., female Yorkie. She has a very sweet and gentle temperament, and typical puppy energy, playfulness, and mischievousness. She gets along great with other dogs.Taffy was surrendered, she is nervous about being handled and is easily frightened by new people and new experiences. However, she has shown great improvement in just a couple of weeks of foster care, so there is no doubt she will quickly adjust to a new home with patience, understanding, and time.Taffy is doing very well with house training, learning to potty outside and use potty pads. Recently, she has begun asking to go out. However, her adopter will have to continue with a regular schedule of outings in order to establish this new habit.She does not walk or potty on leash, so Taffy will have to have a fenced potty area. Because of her small size and nervousness, Taffy will not be placed in a home with large dogs or children under 12. She becomes very anxious in a crate, so she will need a home where there is someone home most of the time, and where she can sleep with them at night.Taffy has no health issues, and has been spayed, microchipped, and has had all of her vaccines for the year. She is heartworm free and gets monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Taffy is ready for her forever home. Applications can be submitted now, mentioning her name.
