Story
Turbo--true to his name--likes to live life in turbo-drive! He's an energetic young puppy with no limit to his love for people and other dogs, though they may not always return his enthusiasm. He has also shown that he has no fear of jumping from heights, and will try to sneak through doors if left on his own, so a watchful eye is a must with this little guy!OTHER PETS: Turbo greets other dogs excitedly and readily initiates play, though some dogs may not appreciate his enthusiasm. He would likely do best with a dog that has a similar temperament and play style. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog]KIDS: Turbo is likely to get along with kids of any age, but is an aspiring escape artist, so it's important that doors are not left open and that kids are not constantly moving in and out of the home. [Case-by-Case (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: Currently Turbo can be quite nervous with leashes, and will need guidance and positive reinforcement to learn how to walk on a leash in order to explore the world in a safe way. But he'd be happy to run around--inside and out--while he plays with his people and favorite toys, and will thrive with plenty of mental enrichment! [Good Walking Buddy]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Turbo is still a puppy, and still needs to learn his foundational skills! Positive reinforcement puppy training classes are recommended with a qualified professional, as he is still at the beginning of his positive training journey. He will do best learning with someone who can offer both patience and confidence while he adjusts. Positive reinforcement training will help Turbo not only learn his basic cues & skills, but also help him to bond with his new owner as well. [Moderate]GROOMING: Due to his fur length and texture, Turbo will need to be brushed regularly to prevent his fur from becoming matted. He would likely also do well with routine professional grooming appointments to keep him neat and comfortable. [Routine Brushing / Professional Grooming]May 13, 2025, 10:47 am

Story
Rosie is a social, outgoing dog who enjoys play and especially enjoys sharing her opinion on things. Due to her vociferous nature, Rosie might not be a good fit for those who have thin walls and close neighbors.OTHER PETS: Rosie is calm meeting other dogs and does a good job setting boundaries with other dogs appropriately. She would likely get along with any dog that respected her boundaries but should meet any dog she would be living with prior to adoption to ensure a good match. [Likely (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: [First Dog] KIDS: Rosie is comfortable with most handling and enjoys spending her quiet time relaxing in laps. While playing, Rosie can be very jumpy and sometimes gets loud/barky. She has not exhibited resource guarding while here at the shelter, and is very social; Rosie would likely get along with most humans but should meet any she would be living with prior to adoption. [Likely (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Rosie has a lot of energy and would do well with a combination of activities such as walks, playtime, plenty of mental enrichment such as food toys, puzzles and games, positive reinforcement training, and possibly dog sports with vet approval (little dogs look so cool doing agility!). Once Rosie learns a few skills and builds confidence, she will likely make a great adventure companion as well. [Good Walking Buddy / Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Rosie bond with her new owner as well as help her learn important life skills. Further positive training would allow for Rosie to participate in dog sports, with vet approval, (like agility!) or accompanying her human(s) on awesome adventures. [Minimal] GROOMING: Regular brushing will keep Rosie's coat clean and matt-free between grooms; Rosie should be goomed every 6 - 8 weeks. Story
I adopted Noah almost 3 month ago from Dakin, Noah is 1 year old. Noah needs a family who would have the time to play and take good care of him. Noah is very sweet, loving, well behaved dog. When I first received Noah he had a peeing problem which I have been controlling by placing pee pads ang guiding him to use them. He has been loving with all my family, adults and kids. Kids should be patience with him because it would take a little time. He loves going to the dog park and making new dog friends.

Story
Poor Lovie lost her owner recently and his family did not want the responsibility of pet ownership. She is a very sweet girl. Weighs 20 pounds and is fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, heart worm negative, and up to date on vaccines.  She is liked to snuggle in bed. You can tell she was a true house dog through and through. Will make an amazing pet for an older person. Her fur is more like hair and she isn't a big shedder.   Her adoption fee is $350 and this covers the cost of transport as well. Currently, she is being fostered in Arkansas, but we do have a transport available to New England. ##2333621##
