Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sprout: The Tiny Lightning Bolt! If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a Yorkie mix stuck his paw in an electric outlet, look no further. Sprout is here to show you exactly what "permanent bedhead" and "infinite energy" look like! Born around July 28, 2024, this 17.8-pound wire-haired wonder isn't just a dog—he’s a fuzzy, four-legged battery that never needs recharging. The Sprout Experience The Energizer Bunny: Sprout doesn't really "walk"—he vibrates from point A to point B. He is constantly on the move and ready for the next adventure, game of fetch, or zoomie session. The Wiggle Worm: Trying to hold Sprout? Good luck! He’s made of 50% Yorkie and 50% cooked spaghetti. He’s a professional squirmer who would much rather be playing than sitting still for a formal portrait. His "Off" Switch: Even the most high-voltage pups need a break. When Sprout finally hits 0%, he knows exactly what to do. He heads straight to his kennel—his ultimate safe spot—to power down for his next round of fun. Is Your Family Sprout-Proof? Sprout is looking for a high-energy "pack" that can keep up with his pace. If you love long walks, active play sessions, and a dog that keeps you on your toes, Sprout is your guy!  If so, you can apply for him at www.adoggie4you.org.  He weighs 17.8 pounds and his adoption fee is $400. "I don't need a morning coffee—I am the morning coffee." — Sprout This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be Transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Meet Rudy! Rudy was found wandering the streets in a local city, at only 5 1/2 pounds, this adorable little boy is now looking for a safe place to land. The vet guesstimates that he’s approximately five years old, male Merle Yorkie. He's got beautiful coloring. The photos are very poor imaging because he was not cooperating or holding still. Rudy is completely vetted and neutered. We did three sets of x-rays on little Rudy to assure us that there were no neurological or spinal issues. He does have a bit of a wonky gate and cannot climb steps. It has been determined that he has a luxating patella on his left hind leg. He is not a candidate for surgery at this time. It comes and goes, so it not all the time and because of his teeny tiny size, surgery is not recommended. Careful monitoring and some great supplements will help him. He is very sweet, very affection, very adorable and house trained. He is good with other dogs and loves to snuggle. Please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/view/muddymoosemutts/home or email pawrescued2016@gmail.com for an application. His adoption fee is $595.

Story
Meet Goldie! Goldie is a sweet, little Yorkie coming into our rescue who was saved from euthanasia. She is approximately 7 pounds and three years old. We don’t know what tragedy left her paralyzed, but she has no use of her two back legs. She will be going to the vet for x-rays and exams to see what we can figure out for long-term plan, but she gets along perfectly fine by scooting along the floor or does really great in her wheelchair. She is capable of peeing and pooping on her own, but she does not have control. She has adjusted very well to wearing a diaper and it’s truly not that difficult as she is such a little bitty girl. Would you consider opening up your heart in your home and adopting or fostering this sweet pup when she arrives at the rescue? Please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/view/muddymoosemutts/home or email pawrescued2016@gmail.com for an application. Her adoption fee is $525.

Story
Name: Pancake Nicknames: Fluffernutter. Little One. Princess. Pumpkin. Crazy Girl. Breed: Terrier mix Sex: Female Age: 4 years Weight: 12 lbs. Before OMD: Animal Control seized 37 dogs from a hoarding situation (dogs were kept in a barn in filthy conditions) and reached out for help. Pancake was one of the last dogs left at animal control from the case and, especially after seeing the videos of her trembling in her kennel, we knew we needed to help. Energy Level: Medium. Loves to walk around the house carrying her toys, and play in the yard... then nap... then repeat. Affection love: Low. She wants to be in your area, wants to sleep in your bed, and wants to have your attention, but she does not want your pets....at least at first. Apartment Friendly: Not so much. She has been known to bark when alone, so shared walls are not ideal. Tagline: "Don't scare me. I poop easily" ...really. Pancake's natural reaction to being scared (of a new person picking her up, at the vet, etc.) is to release her bowels... What we love most: She is a true character, and constantly keeps us laughing. Her innocent nature. Her chewbacca yodel noises. Her full-on butt wiggles when she's excited to see foster mom. When she drapes herself, all stretched out, across the bed or couch, half on/half off. What she loves most: Greenies. Sunbathing. Yard time. Her foster siblings. Running in circles around the kitchen island, toy stuffed in her mouth, when foster mom comes home. Stealing all the toys and depositing them throughout the yard (but mainly on top of the hill, unfortunately). Cat/dog beds. Doesn't love: Being on leash or attempting to go for walks (she will freeze, thrash around, and or pancake...hence how she got her name)...basically anywhere outside the comfort of her own house/yard and anyone who isn't her foster mom. Skills: Jumping over gates or playpen walls. Keeping a close eye on you from anywhere in the house (but please don't look back and make eye contact, she's trying to be sneaky). Playing dead when being picked up or having harness put on. Kids: Nope. They are loud, chaotic, and scary. Dogs: Yes! Pancakes will thrive with another dog in the home. Cats: Yes! Housetrained: Definitely not (understandable given her history). Rugs are not safe from this girl...and she has a cool little party trick where she shimmies her booty up to poop in unattended shoes at 2am. Crate trained: Does not like to be closed into the crate, but she's often gone into the open crate with the bed and blanket. Ideal home: Low-traffic home who isn't scared off by accidents and isn't offended by a dog who doesn't want their attention at first. Her forever family should be incredibly patient, not rushing her and understanding she wants to be left initially. Over time (weeks-months) she will warm up to her people and they will get to see her full body wiggles, her hilarious noises, her prancing but the immediate expectation should be that you essentially have a cat who isn’t litter box trained (but way cuter and funnier). Pancake is spayed, vaccined, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is available for adoption to residents of CT and surrounding states. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application from our website.
