Story
DOB 12-8-2025 This gorgeous baby boy wants a mom! Stephen is so sweet, loves to play with his toys and friends. He is all up to date on shops, healthy and looking for his home. Stephen will come with all medical records and registration papers. He will be about 10 pounds as an adult. His adoption fee is 1.000.00 and transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS, they are wonderful and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Ripley is a sweet, social boy truly ready for a forever home.He was found alone in the woods, dragging a heavy log chain around his neck, his coat covered in fleas, ticks, and debris. Despite everything he had endured, Ripley’s gentle spirit was still shining through—and now, safe in his foster home, he’s truly blossoming. At first, Ripley can be a little timid as he takes in new surroundings, but give him a little time and you’ll see his true self emerge. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes an affectionate, devoted companion who thinks he belongs right in your lap. He absolutely adores being close to his people and will happily soak up all the love you have to give .He’s also wonderful with the neighborhood children who come by to play,He loves to run and romp with the other dogs in his foster home and gets along beautifully with every dog he meets. As for cats, Ripley peacefully coexists with them, showing little interest as long as they’re calm around dogs. He’s also making great progress with his manners—Ripley is fully crate trained and doing very well with house training, showing just how eager he is to learn and please.Ripley would be happiest in a medium-active home where he can enjoy both playtime and cuddle time. More than anything, he’s looking for a family who will give him the love, security, and kindness he’s always deserved. After everything he’s been through, Ripley is ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter—as someone’s beloved best friend.Name: RipleyBreed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie/Crossbreed   (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).Sex: MaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 13.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: YesAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)                       $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently:     Texas IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption veterinary costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age-appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England, if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse, whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher.
