Story
Introducing Harvey, the pint-sized pup with a giant heart! Warning: This bio may contain excessive levels of cuteness and goofiness. Hey there, potential furever fam! Meet Harvey, a tail-wagging ball of energy trapped in a (relatively) small dog body. Here's what you can expect with Harvey in your life: The ultimate shadow: He may not be able to carry your groceries, but he can become your personal shadow, following you from room to room and offering moral support (and maybe some enthusiastic head nudges for pets). A cuddle monster: He loves to snuggle up on the couch and be showered with affection. Ear scratches are his ultimate weakness – just one scratch and he will turn to mush in your hands! A certified goofball: His playful personality will have you laughing every day. Think of him as your personal clown (with a wagging tail instead of a red nose). A lover, not a loner: While he is independent, he loves being part of a family and joining in the fun! He's always up for anything! Harvey has completed two weeks of board/train and knows how to walk nicely on a leash! Due to advanced dental disease, he has had a full mouth extraction and has no teeth. Please reach out to info@joyrides.org if you'd like to learn more about adopting Harvey! Harvey is being fostered in NYC and is available locally, within driving distance or out of state. Age: 10 yrs Weight: 13 lbs Dogs? yep! Harvey has lived in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and done great! Cats? No problem! Harvey is being fostered with a cat and does just fine! Kids? unknown Ok for apartment life? sure as long as he gets some walks in during the day! Housetrained? yes! Crate trained? yes!

After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
LOCAL TN ADOPTION ONLY. let me tell you about Button...she is a sweet little lap dog. That should be the end of the story, but it's not. She is 9.0 years old and was surrendered to a shelter after her owner passed away. Our rescue pulled her and she has been in a my home as a foster for 6 months. At this stage of her life, Button is looking to run the show, at least in terms of getting her needs met. She is not demanding. She will be every bit as sweet to you as you are to her. She loves to sit on your lap and be petted. However, she is not here for your shenanigans and will not participate in your tomfoolery. Mess with her feet or her butt and she will give you a warning snap. One is all you get. If you don't aggravate her, you'll never see her dark side. She was groomed recently (with a muzzle) and attempted to bite nearly the entire time. But once she was finished, and the muzzle came off, she was sweet as could be instantly. She does not hold a grudge. She is pee pad trained although she will sometimes go potty outside Senior dog Adoption Fee of $112.50 Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and treated if necessary. All dogs are given monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventative.LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN.
