Story
Mamma Mia is alive and well and this little girl Yorkie is only 6 years old and going to make someone a wonderful companion in life.   At just 6 years of age and 14 pounds, this little princess just lost her human Daddy  when he passed way and there was no one able to care for her.  Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped up and has gotten her groomed, spayed, a dental done, all shots and heartworm tests done and microchipped and dewormed.  Is this not the cutest little snuggly bunny ever?  Happy, adorable, sweet as apple pie and housebroken, crate trained and ready to light up someone’s world.  This little one is good with other dogs, cats, people and just a little confused right now.  She needs a stable and younger home and family that can promise her to never leave her homeless again.  What a doll baby she will be to go on car rides, outdoor outings and to watch whatever movie or TV show you want.  She is not picky, noisy, loud (except to announce a stranger at the door) nor is she a DIVA.   You can make her YOUR DIVA if you wish but right now she is humble as pie and really needing a new family or person to love her.  If you are interested please EMAIL US DIRECTLY at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    She is ready now to travel from Nashville, TN northward to a wonderful promise of love and stability. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 14, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Please contact Valerie (valerin81871@verizon.net) for more information about this pet. Adoption Donation   $   599               Located:     MS   (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx  5    years old     Weight:   lbs Taz is a 12 lb Yorkshire Terrier mix. He is estimated to be 2 years old and he has a gentle friendly and calm personality. Taz is fine with other dogs although he doesn’t really engage play with them. He prefers the company of his people and he gets along with everyone. Taz is good on a leash and he is not destructive at all.  He has great recall and responds to simple commands: Come.  go out?, get down. No!   Taz spent most of his days tied to a tree outside do we are working on potty training. HE DOES ELIMINATE INDOORS , so frequently being taken outside is a must! Once outs the does potty quickly. He had a 90% reliable “number 2” outside and about 50% reliable “number 1”. I am using a wrap to save my floors and carpet.    TAZ HATES CRATES A HOME WHERE CRATES ARE USED WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.  Gated areas are preferred while housebreaking. But not for all day. He likes to be social with his family.  Taz does not shed so regular grooming is a must to prevent his long silky coat from matting.    He sleeps with my adult son who has autism and cerebral palsy, he is an affectionate, gentle companion, if you share your life with a kind gentle person like that who would enjoy the company of a sweet dog, Taz would be an excellent fit! Taz has a few more weeks left of heartworm treatment. Please email his foster mom below for more info.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  valeri.nhill@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. Story
Introducing Harvey, the pint-sized pup with a giant heart! Warning: This bio may contain excessive levels of cuteness and goofiness. Hey there, potential furever fam! Meet Harvey, a tail-wagging ball of energy trapped in a (relatively) small dog body. Here's what you can expect with Harvey in your life: The ultimate shadow: He may not be able to carry your groceries, but he can become your personal shadow, following you from room to room and offering moral support (and maybe some enthusiastic head nudges for pets). A cuddle monster: He loves to snuggle up on the couch and be showered with affection. Ear scratches are his ultimate weakness – just one scratch and he will turn to mush in your hands! A certified goofball: His playful personality will have you laughing every day. Think of him as your personal clown (with a wagging tail instead of a red nose). A lover, not a loner: While he is independent, he loves being part of a family and joining in the fun! He's always up for anything! Harvey has completed two weeks of board/train and knows how to walk nicely on a leash! Due to advanced dental disease, he has had a full mouth extraction and has no teeth. Please reach out to info@joyrides.org if you'd like to learn more about adopting Harvey! Harvey is being fostered in NYC and is available locally, within driving distance or out of state. Age: 10 yrs Weight: 13 lbs Dogs? yep! Harvey has lived in a foster home with dogs of all sizes and done great! Cats? No problem! Harvey is being fostered with a cat and does just fine! Kids? unknown Ok for apartment life? sure as long as he gets some walks in during the day! Housetrained? yes! Crate trained? yes!

Story
Heidi is a black and tan yorkie that weighs about 6 pounds. Her date of birth is 6/15/21. Heidi is a retired working girl and is ready to find a retirement home where she can be treated like a little princess. She is a little shy, as working girls do not get a lot of socialization with humans, but she is so very sweet and is learning just how loving humans can be and she loves to be held. She is great with other dogs and she and Carli, another working girl, are best friends. Heidi is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, received a Proheart 6 shot and is also being kept on flea and tick prevention to maintain her good health. Her adoption donation is $1200 plus $165 transport fee. If you would like to adopt Heidi, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Pax is a nearly 9 year old Maltese mix and is a real cuddle bug! He is often a bit shy at first, but when he learns to trust you the reward is lap sitting ad lots of kisses. Pax really likes to sleep in your bed and gets along great with other dogs and cats. He loves kids too! He doesn't like to be approached from his left side - his left eye was removed due to a detached cornea. He has recovered quickly and has no problem getting around. He is a petite fellow with a cute sway when he walks. Pax has a chronic skin condition that requires he eats hydrolyzed food and treats as well as taking a medication daily. This keeps his skin looking and feeling great! Adoption fee for local adoption is $112.50 due to his advancing age.LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN.
