She is amazingly trusting and loving. Personality Swifty is so easy-going that she will just walk into your house and settle in instantly, as if she has always lived there. She is so cuddly and affectionate that you won’t lack for lots of kitty love. She lets any stranger pick her right up and hold her, and she doesn’t care about other cats at all. She will go right up and snuggle with your dog too. Swifty has FOMO, overflowing confidence, and isn’t afraid of anything, even feet stepping over her. She is the greeter and makes sure everyone knows she is there, and is always literally right in the middle of the action. Her whole litter is athletic and were nicknamed the ninjas because there was no containing them. None of them has ever met anyone who isn’t her friend. Swifty would be a great first pet, especially for people who love dogs, because her personality is more like a golden retriever than a typical cat! Background Swifty’s litter of 5 kittens and her momma Empanada (a Hemingway cat with extra toes!) were living outdoors in an apartment complex, being fed by residents before she was surrendered to a GNAR foster home. Empanada had been there for many months, long enough to have had more than 1 litter of kittens. Her litter of kittens almost all look just like her, except that they only have the normal number of toes. They all have the same outgoing and confident personality of their mother too. They look like they may be part Abyssinian with their distinctive tabby patterns and reddish brown coloring. Meet Mordy – 5 Years Old Mordy is a shy, gentle boy I adopted from a local family. On his first day home, he ran upstairs to hide, and he's still a timid little guy who needs patience and kindness. He'll spend most of the day tucked away until he feels safe. Once he trusts you, he'll cuddle on the couch, make biscuits, and greet you with soft little meows. If you say "hey" back, he'll know it's safe to come over. When nervous, he may accidentally scratch you because he stretches his paws—it's never aggression, just poor claw control. As he gains confidence, this stops. Mordy has never been aggressive and gets along well with cats and dogs, though he'll need time to adjust.
