I am Jules, a sweet, gentle, and playful Abyssinian mix fella whose unique “ticked” tabby coat mimics the exotic appearance of an African Wildcat. When I was about six weeks old, a Good Samaritan found me hiding in the engine of a car with no momma or siblings in sight. Since Foster Meowmy had taken another rescued kitten off this Samaritan’s hands about a year ago, she turned again to Meowmy for help in finding a great family to adopt me. Thank heavens Meowmy agreed to bring me to the safe haven of her home. When I first arrived, I was understandably a little overwhelmed to go from cowering in a car engine to being in a foster home that was bustling with the activity of kids, foster kittens, as well as resident dogs and cats. Fortunately, Foster Meowmy understood my initial shyness and that it would take time and patience for me to open up. She encouraged me with yummy treats as well as interactive play with wand toys and the red laser dot, and --voilà! -- I transformed into a fella who now loves belly rubs! Every day Mabel and Usher, two foster kittens who are about my age, and I tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle until we’re exhausted and collapse in a kitten puddle. The resident adult cats have been my surrogate aunts and uncles who have shown me all the manners that Momma would've taught me if she'd been around. Meet Mordy – 5 Years Old Mordy is a shy, gentle boy I adopted from a local family. On his first day home, he ran upstairs to hide, and he's still a timid little guy who needs patience and kindness. He'll spend most of the day tucked away until he feels safe. Once he trusts you, he'll cuddle on the couch, make biscuits, and greet you with soft little meows. If you say "hey" back, he'll know it's safe to come over. When nervous, he may accidentally scratch you because he stretches his paws—it's never aggression, just poor claw control. As he gains confidence, this stops. Mordy has never been aggressive and gets along well with cats and dogs, though he'll need time to adjust. Meet Babloo & Luna 🤎🤍 Our final intake before we close for a bit is this beautiful brother-and-sister pair, Babloo and Luna. These two were recently surrendered to us through no fault of their own. Born March 1, 2023, Babloo and Luna originally came from a breeder and are Siamese/Balinese. They have spent their entire lives together, and they will stay together. Babloo and Luna are 3 years old, fully vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. We will also be getting them microchipped before they head to their forever home. They can both be a little shy at first, but once they have time to settle in and get comfortable with their humans, their personalities start to come out. They just need a patient, loving home that will give them time to adjust. Babloo and Luna will only be adopted together.
