Story
Meet Angela! ❤️ A super sweet older kitten, I’m known for my cuddles and cute little Mohawk — yep, my hair often sticks straight up like I just rolled out of bed. My name means “messenger,” because one day I showed up at a Pack N Ship store with one important message for the postman: “FIND ME A HOME!” I love attention and cuddles way more than playtime. I’m always ready to explore a new lap, meet a new cuddle buddy, or chase a toy for a bit. Sit down next to me for two seconds and we’ll already be best friends. I’d do great with a furry friend and a warm lap to call my own. So send me a message. 💌 —Reach out today to meet me! —Or see me at PetSmart 2902 S Shepherd Dr Sat & Sun • 11:30am–4pm

TICKED TABBY COAT MIMICS EXOTIC AFRICAN WILDCAT  DOB 4/24/26 Hey there, everyone! I am Mocha, a sweet, affectionate, and energetic Abyssinian mix fella whose unique “ticked” tabby coat mimics the exotic appearance of an African Wildcat. I got my name because my brown coat resembles coffee and because of my lively personality. I am so confident, easygoing, and adaptable that I have already had a blast on a family road trip to San Antonio, where I quickly settled into my new accommodations. My busy foster home includes 5- and 7- year old kids, an adult male cat, and a small senior dog, and I get along great with all of them. True confessions: like most kittens, I can get a little overexcited when I play, so I will do best with children who understand normal kitten behavior and are gentle when they pet me. When I was about two weeks old, a Good Samaritan found me outside of a gym as a helpless orphan with no mamma or siblings in sight. Through an elaborate rescue network, I was placed with Foster Meowmy because she was caring for a feral momma cat who was nursing her two kittens. Fortunately when I was introduced to Mamma, she lovingly accepted me as one of her own because I was just a week younger than her own kittens. Suddenly I had a new brother Joe and a new sister Java! The three of us have so much fun tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling, and when we are exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. Now I am ready to become your affectionate, playful, and adventurous companion so I can bring both love and laughter to my forever home. Although we are available separately, it would be the cat’s meow if Java or Joe could be adopted with me. We could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you are at work or on vacation. I hope that my one-of-a-kind story has plucked your heartstrings so that you will decide to have a living “café mocha” wake you up every morning. Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID 26-0529-M054 Mocha’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site that Mocha will be this weekend, email us at sfenicle1@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.  June 29, 2026, 6:10 pm

NAME: SWIFTY Sex: female Breed(s): DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR, Abyssinian? Color/Pattern: Tabby Reddish Brown Size: med Coat length: short BDAY approx: ~ April 29 2024 Age at intake: About 5 wks old Intake date: June 5, 2024 Description Swifty is UBER-Friendly and laid back. She is amazingly trusting and loving. Personality Swifty is so easy-going that she will just walk into your house and settle in instantly, as if she has always lived there. She is so cuddly and affectionate that you won’t lack for lots of kitty love. She lets any stranger pick her right up and hold her, and she doesn’t care about other cats at all. She will go right up and snuggle with your dog too. Swifty has FOMO, overflowing confidence, and isn’t afraid of anything, even feet stepping over her. She is the greeter and makes sure everyone knows she is there, and is always literally right in the middle of the action. Her whole litter is athletic and were nicknamed the ninjas because there was no containing them. None of them has ever met anyone who isn’t her friend. Swifty would be a great first pet, especially for people who love dogs, because her personality is more like a golden retriever than a typical cat! Background Swifty’s litter of 5 kittens and her momma Empanada (a Hemingway cat with extra toes!) were living outdoors in an apartment complex, being fed by residents before she was surrendered to a GNAR foster home. Empanada had been there for many months, long enough to have had more than 1 litter of kittens. Her litter of kittens almost all look just like her, except that they only have the normal number of toes. They all have the same outgoing and confident personality of their mother too. They look like they may be part Abyssinian with their distinctive tabby patterns and reddish brown coloring. Compatibility Dogs - YES Other Cats - yes Kids - yes If you would like to meet me, please email GNARHouston@gmail.com
