NAME: SWIFTY Sex: female Breed(s): DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR, Abyssinian? Color/Pattern: Tabby Reddish Brown Size: med Coat length: short BDAY approx: ~ April 29 2024 Age at intake: About 5 wks old Intake date: June 5, 2024 Description Swifty is UBER-Friendly and laid back. She is amazingly trusting and loving. Personality Swifty is so easy-going that she will just walk into your house and settle in instantly, as if she has always lived there. She is so cuddly and affectionate that you won’t lack for lots of kitty love. She lets any stranger pick her right up and hold her, and she doesn’t care about other cats at all. She will go right up and snuggle with your dog too. Swifty has FOMO, overflowing confidence, and isn’t afraid of anything, even feet stepping over her. She is the greeter and makes sure everyone knows she is there, and is always literally right in the middle of the action. Her whole litter is athletic and were nicknamed the ninjas because there was no containing them. None of them has ever met anyone who isn’t her friend. Swifty would be a great first pet, especially for people who love dogs, because her personality is more like a golden retriever than a typical cat! Background Swifty’s litter of 5 kittens and her momma Empanada (a Hemingway cat with extra toes!) were living outdoors in an apartment complex, being fed by residents before she was surrendered to a GNAR foster home. Empanada had been there for many months, long enough to have had more than 1 litter of kittens. Her litter of kittens almost all look just like her, except that they only have the normal number of toes. They all have the same outgoing and confident personality of their mother too. They look like they may be part Abyssinian with their distinctive tabby patterns and reddish brown coloring. Story
BLANKET BURRITO  DOB 5/2/22 Meet Frank – The Blanket Burrito of Your Dreams.  Frank is a stunning Lilac Point Siamese with classic apple-head charm and the softest soul you'll ever meet. At around 3 years old, Frank is a gentle, low-energy companion who prefers the quiet comforts of a calm home and a cozy blanket fort over the hustle and bustle of busy life. Frank is incredibly shy at first—he takes his time to trust, but once he feels safe, he becomes a quiet little shadow, happiest when he's curled up next to you under the covers, his favorite hideaway. He won’t ask for much — just patience, kindness, and a warm spot in your bed. His previous person had to move overseas, and while Frank was heartbroken at first, he’s slowly learning to settle again. He needs someone who understands that love can be quiet and that some cats take a little longer to show their hearts, but when they do, it's something truly special.  If you have a peaceful home and a heart big enough to wait for a whisper-soft bond, Frank might just be your forever blanket buddy. HOPE ID 25-0503-G082 If you are interested in Frank and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
SUCH A QUIET, CHARMING LITTLE LADY  DOB 2/14/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Snowy, a sweet, gentle, very loving Siamese/ Snowshoe mix gal who’s quite the quiet, demure little lady. Although I’m shy at first, I warm up quickly once I feel comfy. My initial hesitation may hark back to my being rescued as a half-starved but friendly stray cat who’d been fending for myself. I’d learned when I was living paw-to-mouth that I couldn’t always trust everyone. I was so grateful when Foster Meowmy brought me to the safe haven of her home. What a relief to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye because no beautiful girl like me should be forced to live like a ragamuffin. Surprisingly I get along well with her other cats. It’s been fun getting to a healthy weight again and enjoying a plethora of pompom balls, catnip mice, and wand-toys. Now I’m ready to bring my beauty and grace to my forever home. Could that be with you? If so, arrange to meet me today! I figure you can’t go wrong when you adopt a kitty (moi) who was born on Valentine’s Day (estimated, of course!) If that’s the secret to my being such a love bug, I’ll never tell! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a young gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories. HOPE 25-0514-G100 If you are interested in Snowy and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Meet Pierre, le percepteur! Dignified, curious, social, mellow, and charming, I’m an excellent young cat. Found on tax day, I’m known as le percepteur or tax man. While I won’t help you do your taxes, I’ll be sure to keep you company and provide lots of attention and affection (particularly helpful if you owe money this year ;). I’m smart, social, and most of all a great companion. My foster absolutely adores me and likes to call me Pierre extraordinaire…because well, I’m extraordinaire. I follow him around during daily activities, revel in pets and affection, and just keep him company. I will also happily greet his guests at the door. I’m curious, charming, and cuddly. What’s not to love!? So pick me up and take me home. I’ll follow you around and hang out next to you day and night. Let me fill your heart with love and fill your tax day with fond memories for years to come! -Reach out ASAP for a meet and greet. -Or come see me at Petsmart (2902 S Shepherd Dr) Sat and Sun 1130-4p.
