NAME: SWIFTY Sex: female Breed(s): DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR, Abyssinian? Color/Pattern: Tabby Reddish Brown Size: med Coat length: short BDAY approx: ~ April 29 2024 Age at intake: About 5 wks old Intake date: June 5, 2024 Description Swifty is UBER-Friendly and laid back. She is amazingly trusting and loving. Personality Swifty is so easy-going that she will just walk into your house and settle in instantly, as if she has always lived there. She is so cuddly and affectionate that you won’t lack for lots of kitty love. She lets any stranger pick her right up and hold her, and she doesn’t care about other cats at all. She will go right up and snuggle with your dog too. Swifty has FOMO, overflowing confidence, and isn’t afraid of anything, even feet stepping over her. She is the greeter and makes sure everyone knows she is there, and is always literally right in the middle of the action. Her whole litter is athletic and were nicknamed the ninjas because there was no containing them. None of them has ever met anyone who isn’t her friend. Swifty would be a great first pet, especially for people who love dogs, because her personality is more like a golden retriever than a typical cat! Background Swifty’s litter of 5 kittens and her momma Empanada (a Hemingway cat with extra toes!) were living outdoors in an apartment complex, being fed by residents before she was surrendered to a GNAR foster home. Empanada had been there for many months, long enough to have had more than 1 litter of kittens. Her litter of kittens almost all look just like her, except that they only have the normal number of toes. They all have the same outgoing and confident personality of their mother too. They look like they may be part Abyssinian with their distinctive tabby patterns and reddish brown coloring. Compatibility Dogs - YES Other Cats - yes Kids - yes If you would like to meet me, please email GNARHouston@gmail.com

Story
THRIVES ON DOTING ATTENTION  DOB 7/25/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jasmine, a friendly, affectionate, and beautiful mitted Seal-point Siamese/ Snowshoe mix gal with mesmerizing crystal-blue eyes. I confess that I’m a coy drama-queen who really had fun hamming it up for my online-posting photo session. I love attention and being the focus of my hooman’s attention, including when they’re behind the camera. When Foster Meowmy comes in my room, I greet her by flopping down on the floor, rolling on my side, and then turning on my purr motor. When I sound like a perking coffeepot, Foster Meowmy knows that it’s time for a good petting session. Boy howdy! I’m in feline ecstasy when she scratches my ears, cheeks, or chin as well as when she massages the top of my head. I was barely more than a kitten myself when I was found as a friendly pregnant stray at a Houston apartment complex. If my owners abandoned me when they moved out, I'll never tell! Thankfully a kind HOPE volunteer rescued me so that I was able to give birth to my two kittens shortly after I arrived into my foster home. Now that they're weaned and I've permanently retired from doting motherhood, I'm ready to bring my sweet, innocent coquetry and sleek, svelte beauty to grace my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! Nothing would make me happier than if you could guess the decibels of my purr motor – that is, unless you took me home with you! THAT would REALLY make me happy!!! By the way, like most former momma cats, I'd be best as an only-cat/child because I keep forgetting that I don't need to protect my kittens from predators any more!  HOPE 25-0325-E005 If you are interested in Jasmine and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. Meet Pierre, le percepteur! Dignified, curious, social, mellow, and charming, I’m an excellent young cat. Found on tax day, I’m known as le percepteur or tax man. While I won’t help you do your taxes, I’ll be sure to keep you company and provide lots of attention and affection (particularly helpful if you owe money this year ;). I’m smart, social, and most of all a great companion. My foster absolutely adores me and likes to call me Pierre extraordinaire…because well, I’m extraordinaire. I follow him around during daily activities, revel in pets and affection, and just keep him company. I will also happily greet his guests at the door. I’m curious, charming, and cuddly. What’s not to love!? So pick me up and take me home. I’ll follow you around and hang out next to you day and night. Let me fill your heart with love and fill your tax day with fond memories for years to come! -Reach out ASAP for a meet and greet. -Or come see me at Petsmart (2902 S Shepherd Dr) Sat and Sun 1130-4p.
