She is amazingly trusting and loving. Personality Swifty is so easy-going that she will just walk into your house and settle in instantly, as if she has always lived there. She is so cuddly and affectionate that you won’t lack for lots of kitty love. She lets any stranger pick her right up and hold her, and she doesn’t care about other cats at all. She will go right up and snuggle with your dog too. Swifty has FOMO, overflowing confidence, and isn’t afraid of anything, even feet stepping over her. She is the greeter and makes sure everyone knows she is there, and is always literally right in the middle of the action. Her whole litter is athletic and were nicknamed the ninjas because there was no containing them. None of them has ever met anyone who isn’t her friend. Swifty would be a great first pet, especially for people who love dogs, because her personality is more like a golden retriever than a typical cat! Background Swifty’s litter of 5 kittens and her momma Empanada (a Hemingway cat with extra toes!) were living outdoors in an apartment complex, being fed by residents before she was surrendered to a GNAR foster home. Empanada had been there for many months, long enough to have had more than 1 litter of kittens. Her litter of kittens almost all look just like her, except that they only have the normal number of toes. They all have the same outgoing and confident personality of their mother too. They look like they may be part Abyssinian with their distinctive tabby patterns and reddish brown coloring. Found in a Bellaire backyard during a rainstorm with my siblings, we've happily traded rakes for cat toys, cozy naps, endless food, and lots of love. I adore people and furry friends. THE PERFECT LAP CAT  DOB 6/12/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Scotty, a sweet, gentle, loving, and chatty lynx-point Siamese/ Snowshoe mix fella whose gorgeous sky-blue eyes charm everyone whom I meet. Foster Meowmy calls me her perfect lap cat because I enjoy it so  much when she scratches my ears, cheeks, and chin while I snuggle next to her thigh or enjoy sleeping while I’m enthroned on her lap. But I’m no couch potato! No siree! I love to play with my catnip mice, jingle-bell balls, and feathered wand toys, and I’ll even talk to Foster Meowmy to be sure she knows when I’m ready for us to frolic together. I used to be someone’s pet, but unfortunately my heartless owner abandoned me in a park. My ravenous hunger led me to the community-cat feeding station of the adjacent apartment complex. There the resident strays repeatedly attacked me for infringing on their territory, and this terrified me because I’d never before had to defend myself when I was someone’s sweet, pampered indoor pet. Thank heavens, a HOPE trapper realized my vulnerable situation as an abandoned pet and brought me to the safe haven of Foster Meowmy’s home. Whew! I was so relieved because the hardscrabble life of a stray was not my cup of tea. Now I’m ready to fulfill my heart’s desire of being the cherished lap cat of my forever family. Could that be you?
