Story
Meet Cookie! This 75-pound bundle of joy is a goofy, affectionate sweetheart who absolutely adores people. Cookie loves to snuggle and thrives on attention. While she can be a bit selective with other dogs—especially on leash—she does well with slow, proper introductions. Cookie is smart, knows a variety of commands, is fully house-trained, and highly food motivated (which makes training a breeze!). Because of her size and energy, she’d do best in a home without small children, though dog-savvy kids aged 10 and up would be just fine. Cookie is full of life and ready to join you on all your adventures!

Story
Meet Bailey, a delightful Guardian mix with a playful and curious spirit and an avid interest in checking out the world around her. Weighing in at 65 lbs, Bailey is a perfect blend of strength and sweetness. She’s the kind of dog who will happily join you on long or leisurely hikes keeping pace with ease, and sticking in close enough proximity off-leash, close with the pack, she needs some work on her recall as she seems to have a nose for prey, but does stick relatively close, and a 30’ drop leash helps! After adventures she will happily curl up beside you soaking up every bit of affection. Bailey has a gentle and friendly nature, getting along well with other dogs and okay with older kids who understand the needs of a young, energetic pup. She thrives on connection, often leaning in for pets and attention, and is happiest when she's included in the action, whether it's a day outside or quiet time at home. Bailey is ready to become someone's loyal trail buddy, snuggle partner, and best friend.

She prefers the smallest squeaky stuffies that fit perfectly in her mouth and enjoys prancing around with it, even playing fetch with herself. Kimber is smart and very clear on what she wants to do which may or may not be what the human has planned. Story
Meet Dogbert! This sweet, handsome, and lumbering senior guy may be in his golden years, but he still has plenty of energy to spare. Dogbert takes his time getting to know new places, but once he feels safe, he'll lean into you for reassurance in the form of gentle head scritches. His slow, sweet tail wag says, "I trust you." He isn't hard to please - all he really wants is a yard to lounge in, a loving human to snuggle with, and a steady supply of treats. Dogbert isn't the type to rush into things; he moves through the world at his own thoughtful pace. Dogbert needs to be the only dog in the home - he prefers the spotlight all to himself. If you're searching for a big, beautiful dog with a quiet spirit and a lifetime of love to give, Dogbert may be your perfect match. Dogbert is currently in a foster home, but if you would like to meet them, please email customercare@eastbayspca.org. Primary Color: Blonde Weight: 97.6 Age: 8yrs 5mths 1wks

Story
Rome and his brother were found together after being abandoned in Richmond, CA, but thankfully their story took a happy turn. Now thriving in foster care in Rodeo, CA, Rome is healthy, confident, and ready to start his next chapter with a forever family. Rome is about 1 year old and weighs around 58 pounds. He’s a Belgian Malinois mix with a sleek black coat that gleams in the sun, soft brown socks, a little white on his chest, and expressive upright ears that are always tuned in to what’s happening around him. He’s handsome for sure — but it’s his personality that really shines. Rome is smart, athletic, and full of joyful energy. He loves being active and would be a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, or outdoor adventures. That said, he’s not all go-go-go — he also knows how to settle and enjoy downtime with his people. He’s crate trained, housebroken, and friendly with other dogs. Like many young pups, his play style can be enthusiastic, but it’s all in good fun. Rome is very treat-motivated and eager to learn, making him a joy to train and bond with. At home, Rome enjoys good food (chicken, duck, and salmon are top-tier in his book) and even appreciates some background music — rock and roll is his favorite, though he’s willing to humor a little country now and then 😉 He’d love a home with another dog to play with, especially one who can match his energy. Rome is looking for a family who’s ready for adventure, laughter, and lots of love. In return, he’ll be a loyal, fun-loving companion who brings heart, happiness, and plenty of tail wags into your life.

Story
Remy’s journey hasn’t always been easy. He was found abandoned in late May in a commercial area of Richmond, CA, but once he was rescued and brought into foster care in Rodeo, everything started to turn around. Since then, he’s been blossoming into the happy, loving dog he was always meant to be. Remy is about 1 year old and around 70 pounds — a Belgian Malinois mix with a stunning brindle coat, a handsome black face, and adorable black socks. He’s a big boy, but don’t let his size fool you… he’s truly a gentle soul. Smart, attentive, and eager to please, Remy loves learning new things (especially if treats are involved!). He’s crate trained, housebroken, and does well with other dogs. He especially enjoys having a canine buddy to romp around with — someone close to his size who can match his playful energy. At home, Remy is affectionate and loyal, the kind of dog who wants to be near his people and soak up all the love. He’s a big fan of chicken, duck, and especially salmon — and yes, he even enjoys music. Rock and roll is his favorite, but he’s open-minded enough to tolerate a little country too 😉 Remy would do best in a home that offers consistency, kindness, and a bit of structure — plus plenty of love. In return, he’ll give you his whole heart, his goofy charm, and a lifelong best friend.
