Story
Scallop is a Akbash mix, almost 4 years old. She has been great with my four kids ages 6 to 16 & my male lab mix, but cannot seem to get along with my female Frenchie. She has shown signs of dog aggression, so would need to go to someone with experience in this field. She is incredibly sweet with humans, but has been very hard to train, she loves to roam the perimeter and it is an escape artist. She needs tons of space, exercise and stimulation. I will not rehome Scallop without meeting the entire family and visiting the house where she is going g to live.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We see so many dogs being given away for free on FB, Toby was one of them. Fortunately for him we were able to find a foster to take him. He was scheduled to be neutered just 2 days after getting to his foster home but once there it was found that he was too sick to have any kind of surgery. Toby was full of worms and parasites! Poor guy.  He's spent the last couple of weeks on meds getting healthy, will be getting his shots and once healthy enough will be neutered and ready for his forever home.  This stunning blue eyed boy is a love! Great with other dogs and adores all people. Just no chickens for this floof! ;) His foster mom has been working with him on his walks, up until now he hasn't had much experience with that. He's also afraid of loud noises. That includes loud kiddos, squeaker toys, and other loud barking dogs. He's adjusting well to his foster home though and could be he just needs a few weeks to settle in. We'll know more soon so check back!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 12, 2024, 4:10 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Albi was almost euthanized for just doing his job, being a protector. This boy needs a home where his dedication will be appreciated, he takes his job seriously!  Albi enjoys his time on the couch but is also a great patroller! He's very protective of his space and you will be incredibly safe with this boy on duty! He loves his walks and is learning not to pull so much. He could potentially live with cats but needs very slow intros and will chase those that run. He is good with other dogs with proper intros. He needs to live far from a road, he doesn't like cars and will chase, his foster mom is working with him on that. Albi has been in his foster home for over a year now and his foster mom knows him very well. He has bonded very closely with our girl Savannah and we are looking for an adopter who will take the 2 of them together.  Albi has been working on his food aggression for some time and has made improvements but it's still best to feed separately. This boy is a true guardian, he wants to protect his people and his property. He and Savannah are a great pair and will be a great addition for just the right home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 8, 2025, 2:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sokka came to our rescue when he was taken to the shelter after being found left in an apartment alone for 10 days. In spite of that he was incredibly sweet, loved everyone he met and was happy to play with some doggy friends in his foster home. When his foster family had additional family with their own dogs moving into their home, it was time for Sokka to find a new foster home. His new foster mom quickly fell for him and there was talk of foster failing. Things changed for Sokka, who had been renamed Owen, when he protected his mom from a dog attack, he took his job seriously and kept her safe but by doing so it affected him, mentally, and he hasn't been the same boy since. Owen's foster mom now feels he'd do better in a different home so we are now looking for a very special place for him. The boy who used to love doggy friends now seems to be very scared and unsure. The boy who never met a person he didn't instantly love, is now very cautious and fearful. So we are looking for a quiet, low key home for Owen where he can learn to trust, feel safe again. Have a backyard to soak up the sun, or the snow. Also a very committed foster or adopter who will work consistently with our behaviorist to help Owen through the trauma he experienced. This is no small ask we know. But he deserves nothing less! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zack is a big sweet goof of a boy and bonded to our girl Lucy. They are an old married couple and they must be adopted together. We will be extremely selective about where these 2 go, with all that they've been through.  After their owner suddenly passed away they were faced with euthanasia. We had just a couple of days to find a place to get them safe, and thank goodness a wonderful foster stepped up! Zack gets along with all dogs and cats and is just a happy go lucky boy wherever he goes.  He is being fostered with Lucy in MT.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 20, 2025, 3:39 pm

Story
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a pet cloud the size of a small horse? Meet Sarge. Sarge is the picture of calm confidence. A big, fluffy boy who doesn’t need much to be happy. True to his Great Pyrenees nature, he carries himself with a quiet dignity, content to simply be near those he loves. His presence is peaceful, his demeanor unshakable, and his loyalty unmatched. Sarge spent his visit simply existing and being beautiful, which, honestly, is more than enough. With his soft coat, steady eyes, and lazy-boy energy, he gave off the kind of peace that makes you want to slow down and sit beside him awhile. He didn’t seek the spotlight, but his gentle nature drew everyone in. We truly believe that Sarge is predominantly Great Pyrenees and about 2 years old. He gives off every inclination in demeanor and appearance that would lead to us making that assumption. But due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. Observe the majesty of Sarge in the video below! https://youtu.be/104LjejdWWA He doesn’t rush to meet the world; instead, he watches it kindly, like a gentle guardian keeping quiet watch over his little corner. When he met our other doggies, he didn’t rush in a frenzy to get to know them. He just sniffed to gather the information he needed to know and let them be themselves as he stood watch. He would be a great addition to a pack of medium energy pups or equally as great being your one and only! With children, Sarge keeps that calm and steady attitude. He met our friend’s Kobe (4) and Cash (7) and allowed them to touch all over his face as the children were amazed at the glory of his big head. We believe that Sarge would be a great addition to a family with children due to his gentle nature. Even cats didn’t cause Sarge to break that steadfast character of his. Our housecat Biggie roamed the room as Sarge honestly just watched him with looks of approval. Sarge understands that all living things are to be respected and would be okay living in a home with dog savvy feline companions. As a true Pyrenees, Sarge needs space to stretch out, roam, and do his quiet patrolling. Apartment life wouldn’t suit him, he thrives in a home with a yard or land where he can move at his own pace. He’s not looking to run laps, but he does appreciate the freedom to explore and lounge under the open sky. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key best friend who brings calm to your chaos and comfort to your home, Sarge may be your perfect match. Is Sarge the missing piece of your family? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Loving, obedient, smart, curious, and adventure-ready? That’s Darla! A wonder dog through and through, this girl is great with other dogs, highly trainable, treat motivated, and is a cutie in a unique coat. One of my favorite things about Darla is how well balanced her energy is, if she gets excited, she is back to calm in just a moment, if she is a bit nervous- she gets curious, checks it out and just like that she is confident. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/mCwsTJdbJdY Darla is so fortunate to be in a loving foster home while she waits for her forever family. This allows her to learn and practice all the best manners and skills a house dog needs. This also gives us a true front row seat to her personality. Her foster family has nothing but praise for her. From how easily she fit right in to her quick learning of everything. From house training to manners around meals, she is attentive to directions and consistently quick to master new skills. Thanks to that she is both house and crate trained! Her foster family shared that she has never had an accident in the house and sleeps through the night quietly in her crate. She often chooses the crate to sleep at night but on occasion she chooses a cozy dog bed. On those nights she has been perfect, sleeping peacefully through the night. Darla is estimated to be just over a year old, she weighs 53 lbs, and is likely a Pyrenees/Husky/Shepherd mix but we cannot guarantee age of breed given she is a rescue. Also, I strongly suspect she may be a dog/deer mix- she you see the speckles and spots that run down her back you will see why this is my suspicion. However and whatever she is, she has a gorgeous and unique coat. When she was introduced to other dogs she showed us a calm, friendly approach. We do know she has a playful side, she lives with another dog in her foster home and the two of them have a blast together. Unfortunately, on the day we were spending time with Darla the weather was rainy pretty much all day, which didn’t bring out the playful side in anyone. Despite that, no matter the energy of the other dog or where they met, she was calm and respectful in her approach and all together easy-going in their company. Darla would love a playmate, and enjoys having a companion to navigate the world alongside but given how quickly her confidence grows she is suited for only-dog life as well. A few toys, adventures with you, and walks around the block to greet the neighbors would be plenty to keep her happy and fulfilled! Darla’s ideal home would be one where hikes and walks are a regular occurence. A house with a yard would be best given her love of bouncing around outside and her occasional awooowooo’s. Her foster family shared that they would guess she has some Husky in her because she loves to “sing.” It is pretty cute and a expression she doesn’t use excessively. With a treat offered she will go right into focused-mode with an automatic sit and her full attention on you. That quality typically translates into a dog who trains with ease. Darla enjoys toys and can easily self-entertain. If you’re tired of playing- she doesn’t mind, she’ll just play with her toys by herself! Don’t worry, she didn’t mind sharing with the other dogs or handing it over when asked. Same with food, Darla loves food but is unbothered while sharing treats, dinner or having her bowl touched. Darla will need a cat-free home, we suspect she has never met a cat before so when introduced to one she wasn’t sure enough for us to feel confident she wouldn’t chase a cat or stress one out with her every interested approach. She’s super smart, easy company and full of so much loyal love! She’s playful but not too energetic to handle, lovey but not overly pushy about it, loyal but not too “velcro,” this girl is just the best of ALL worlds! She is 100% good dog, fluffy, beautiful and ready for a life of love! It is really impressive to see how she handles new environments, she may be uncertain but she is still at ease, takes it slow, curiously checks things out and checks in with her people. She only needs a few moments before she feels good and ready for anything. The same thing can be said about her with kids too and how she meets kids! She has been around kids as young as 4 years old and her sweet nature shined through with them as well once she had spent some calmer moments with them. She was not phased by the running around, jumping, loud noises, and those random unexpected movements little ones are known for. She never jumped for affection and was gentle all the way around. We believe she has all of the traits to be a wonderful addition to a family with kids. Darla is easy on leash, but prefers a harness. It didn’t take her any time to understand the leash so nothing is set in stone there, you can try both and see what you and her prefer together Darla, her soft kisses and playful love are ready for forever! If there is anything not covered here that you are curious about, please be in touch! Be are committed to ensuring Darla is the right fit for you and your life.
