Ume is a delightful 2 year old female Akita! She loves to bounce around the play yard and splash in her pool! She is sweet and comes running to you for a good scratch. We have been told she doesn't like other dogs but will work with her with some same sized males to see if we can change her mind.  For now she would need to be an only dog. She is very treat motivated and also loves toys!! She would do best in an active, breed experienced, adult only home. He is very timid and cautious at the moment because this young boy was dragged with a catch pole and treated very poorly.  We are working with Ghost to help him overcome some fear based reactivity and food resource guarding before he is ready to go home and would welcome any monthly sponsors to assist with his care. If you are a force-free positive reinforcement trainer and could spend a few hours volunteering with Ghost as well, that would be amazing!
