He is learning to come when called and sits nicely when prompted. He is a homebody at heart, but he still needs plenty of exercise to burn off his occasional bursts of energy. And trust us, this boy is an absolute gem. He is very friendly, loves people, and is always excited to explore new things. True to his breed, he adores the cold and snow and would thrive with an active family who enjoys getting outside. He’s still got puppy manners and puppy energy, so he’ll need continued training, structure, and outlets to keep both his body and brain busy. ? Playful ? Curious ? Social and people-loving ? Full of young-dog energy If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have the time, patience, and dedication to train and exercise a young Akita, this boy could be your perfect match. Do you have the time to help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s meant to be? If you are interested in meeting Trevor, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Lobo is a big, strong boy who loves playing outside but also also enjoys being a couch potato and watching tv while he enjoys a good chew bone. Lobo is doing well with his house training and is good in his secure crate. He is fine with other dogs with proper introductions and loves every person he meets. He can still get a bit excited when meeting new people and may need to be reminded of how big he is. Lobo would be best as a companion dog where he can go on fun hikes and walks or runs where he can got out his Husky energy.
