PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 11/28/25**Malcolm has become urgent. He is safe in his foster home but he really needs an adopter ASAP*** Please message us for more info. His adoption fee is WAIVED!    Highlights- House trained, crate trained Good leash manners Knows basic commands No small animals No young kids Does well with the dogs in his foster home but is not good with the dogs that have come to visit his foster home. Details: Malcolm had a home once. Before he became a stray he was neutered, someone loved him enough to do that for him. Then did he get lost, or was he abandoned? When he entered the high kill shelter he had no baby teeth, so he was 6-8 months old. He was pulled from the shelter to save him from euthanasia. After getting into our rescue, Malcolm went to the Paws in Prison program where he learned all the commands a good doggy needs to know. Now Malcolm is in a foster home, practicing how to be part of a family. He loves intensely, but sometimes in the daily chaos he forgets that he is safe and does not need to struggle to survive anymore. He is a resource guarder and is protective of his people. Malcolm would do best in a home with no small animals or young children. He is fully house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and plays great with the resident dogs, but he does not want visitor dogs in his home. He loves puddles, and car rides, and walks in the woods. He’s sort of a goofy, bull in a china shop kind of guy! Malcolm is a fantastic mouser! He has to be touching his person on the couch and in bed. He chews toys to bits, but he has not been destructive otherwise. He just needs a special adopter to give him the time and patience he needs to thrive. He is a mixed breed, estimated 1.5-2 years old, about 70 pounds. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. In New England. Bear is a large goofy exuberant puppy who requires lots of exercise and patience. He clearly is a stunning dog and therefore everyone wants to take him home. He will require a dog savvy person or someone committed to following through with training and providing lots of exercise. Bear is looking for a home with a fenced in yard not an underground fence but a physical one. Bear can be protective of his toys and food, but only with other dogs. Bear is not a “dog park”dog. Please message us for more details home visit and adoption donation required

Story
Hey everyone! My name is Brody. I’m told my name is Scottish meaning “Ditch or Muddy Place”, totally fitting for a pup (and my litter) being found in a coal mine. Initially black in color (go figure), after a deep cleaning bubble bath, my beautiful chestnut, tan, white soft thick coat shone through with black highlights offset by my STUNNING “Baby Blues”! Not sure why my litter mates have been adopted, leaving me. I’m told I have always been the volunteers favorite due to my Gentle Demeanor and "Sweet as Sugar" personality. Guess it’s my initial shyness. I’m assured my “true soul mate” is out there, just need to find one another! Now 11/2 year old, weight a petite 40#, I’m thought to be a husky mixed with a smaller pooch. Due to my shyness, I will need a 4 foot fence to ensure my safety. I’m great with other dogs, kids, people of all ages once I settle in. (Maybe cats) No mean bones here! Being a Happy-Go-Lucky boy, I just love a good game of chase, tug or simply a walk with my person. Then it’s time to settle in for a nap and snuggle time. Please consider meeting me. This “coal mining boy” is digging to meet his forever family! To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org.
