Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Sadie. She is a full bred Agouti Husky. We originally got Sadie and her 3 other litter mates as surrenders back in April of 2023. They were an accidental litter and we helped find them homes. They were born on 2/14/2023. She is currently 13 months old and such a sweet girl.  She was recently surrendered to us on 3/12/2024 because she kept slipping her leash and visiting a nearby farm. The farmer notified the owners and sent the township police to their house to advise them the next time she escapes and visits his property, Sadie would be shot. The police confirmed this is legal since he has livestock and he has the right to protect them.  Sadie's family made the hardest decision ever and decided to surrender her back to us. We are going to be very selective with her new home. She needs a breed experienced owner.  When Sadie becomes bored, she will escape the yard if she can find a way to slip through the fence.  We prefer her to have a dog friend close in age to match her energy for playtime. She will need a secured fenced yard so she can run around and play freely.  An active family would be best as she does love to walk! Sadie does pull a little at first, but then she settles into a nice pace.  As with most dogs, she is very interested in birds and squirrels (on walks and in the yard). Sadie can slip a collar and will need either a martingale collar or a harness for walking.  Sadie has very thick and fluffy fur and will need groomed regularly. *You cannot shave huskies!* She will require regular brushings at home; not just at the groomers as her fur will become matted. Her back end hair grows long and needs the sanitary clip (what groomers call it). Sadie is currently in a foster home with a fenced in back yard and 3 foster sisters to play with. It took her a few days to learn her spot in that pack and is now doing great! She is a very sweet girl and loves her belly rubs!  She is both house trained and crate trained.   Sadie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is $450. If you are interested in Sadie, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please contact Nichole at worthytailsanimalrescue@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest in a rescue pup! Akira is a super sweet dog. She is great with people, kids and other dogs and loves to snuggle. She loves a good belly rub and wants to be involved in the action. She is the perfect hiking and or walking companion with tons of energy. She has been in our family for her whole life since we got her in Colorado (4 1/2 years). The perfect home for her would be one in which her family could walk her 1-2 times a day and or have a nice big back yard to run. She responds best to lots of love as as she likes to be the center of attention. She does well with other dogs and she does not bark at all and is well trained. The perfect dog for a family that does not want to go through the puppy pottie training stage but get tons of outdoor and indoor fun with a youthfull adult dog.

Story
Meet Jax, a really great all around dog! His blue eyes reveal his husky heritage and his playfulness and affection will win your heart. Jax was an owner surrender through no fault of his own, they just had to move to an apartment complex that did not allow big dogs. We thought that he was a senior dog when we first looked at his teeth, but his molars are in good shape, so he's around 5-6. However, he has some broken and missing teeth in the front. We don't know what happed to them. His foster says "Jax is a low maintenance guy that loves two things above all else, his daily walks and playing with toys. He gets along with all the dogs and cats in our home and even puts up with the foster puppies. He can entertain himself, throwing a toy in the air by himself over and over and then catching it. He practically prances when trotting on his leash." Jax is great on a leash, loves spending time in a fenced in back yard and is very friendly even to people he does not know.

Story
Mikko and Denali are brothers even though they don't look alike. They became a member of our family as puppies 4 years ago. Mikko's original taker backed out and we chose to take both puppies. Mikko and Denali are fun, loving, energetic boys who need a home with a large, fenced in yard to run around. They love to play but, in their down time they love to be right beside you getting belly rubs. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to move and get a divorce. I have to work two jobs and can't provide them the time and attention they deserve. While this breaks my heart, it also makes me happy knowing that they will have a home filled with love and attention. They need to be together as they are a bonded pair. Please consider giving these precious boys a home, you won't be disappointed!

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 4/8/24  Echo has been waiting a long time for a home of his own. He is no longer a tiny puppy but is still very young and trainable. He's about 6 months old now and has been available for a few months but we've had no interest. I'm asking my friends to please share him like crazy. He needs a home of his own! Echo is a medium energy puppy- not hyper, but playful. He is very loyal and loving. We believe he is a husky mix and he's about 45 lbs. He may reach 55-60 once fully mature. Echo has short bursts of playful energy, then he enjoys cuddle time. Like most dogs, he is slightly nervous when he meets new dogs, but then once he knows it's safe, he is playful and loving with other dogs. He is also great with cats, as well as kids. Echo is almost completely house trained and Crate trained. He only had accidents if no one pays attention to his cues to go out. He sleeps in a crate at night, because he is still young and could get into things, so this is for his safety. If you are looking for a loyal, loving, trainable, young dog, please give this guy a chance! And please SHARE! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Story
Age: 10 years Size: 40 lbs Estimated breed: Husky mix   Sabine was found as a stray in rural South Carolina, carrying around a large mass hanging from her chest. While completing her mandatory stray hold at the county shelter, the mass erupted, leaving it open and exposed to the elements. Despite the pain she must have been in, Sabine was so cooperative and appreciative to shelter volunteers, who rushed her to the emergency vet to have the mass removed. Fortunately it was non-cancerous, so once removed she did not need any additional care!    Sabine is now safe with us in foster care looking for her forever retirement home! She is very small for a husky, even though she can still stand to gain a few pounds. She must have had a home at some point, as she had already been spayed when she was found as a stray. She's very comfortable in her foster home and has been living with kids, cats, and other dogs. She's super low-key and content to sleep in dog beds throughout the day, mixed in with a few short walks and playtimes. We suspect she is partially or mainly deaf, but she navigates the world just fine with her limited hearing! She is lower energy but still enjoys daily walks and keeps up just fine. She does well in her crate and walks nicely on the leash!    To adopt Sabine, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our animals. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366April 18, 2024, 10:14 am

This sweet girl was very lucky to be found by a saint on St Patrick's day. She along with her 2 siblings are now safe in rescue and have started with the vetting process. They are quite talkative so we are thinking Husky mixes. They seem to be about 7 weeks old and will be ready to go to their forever homes 4-13th. They are probably going to be large dogs. If you are ready to add a puppy to your life you will need to submit your adoption application at funnyfarmpets.org You can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and see all the other adoptable pets. Story
🖤SHILOH🐾 Gentle, handsome, senior husky 🐕 After years of neglect, he’s safe in rescue & getting the care he deserves. We were told that he formally belonged to a neighbor who used to keep him on a chain and never let him in. But recently he had let him go and said he did not want him anymore. Probably because, Shiloh had a tumor growing on his underside and he did not want to be responsible. He has finished his antibiotics and steroids, and the tumor has been removed. The good news is …. It isn’t cancerous!!! And his heart and lungs, and all other x-rays were clear 🖤 True to his breed, he is vocal and full of adorable personality. He greets every human with a soft “awoooo” and lots of cuteness😍 Good with other dogs, but doesn’t need any in his forever home. He’s a bit of a loner. 🤣 In search of a yard to sunbathe in, snacks & pets from people that love him, and the opportunity to live out his golden years how he deserves 💕 If you’re interested in adopting a settled, senior boy, please consider welcoming Shiloh into your home! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama, Pennsylvania and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!
