Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Wombat is a super smart, adorable little guy with a goofy personality that makes everyone smile. He’s playful and affectionate, and he absolutely loves spending time with people — especially kids. He’s the kind of dog who follows commands well and seems to genuinely want to make you proud. He has a fun, energetic side but also settles down nicely for calm moments. Wombat is happiest when he has toys to play with and someone to engage with — he’s even learning to fetch and is already showing how eager he is to learn new things. When he’s in play mode, he sometimes makes little happy noises, which just adds to his charm. Wombat hasn’t been tested with cats, and he hasn’t yet bonded with other animals in the home, but he does get along well with other dogs and loves playing with them. He’s still working on potty training and basic obedience, so his forever home should be ready to continue that training with patience and consistency. Wombat was treated for worms and is healthy and ready to find a loving home. He would do best with someone who has the time, love, and patience to train him and give him plenty of playtime and attention. Wombat is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/7/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Domino is a total showstopper with a fun, goofy personality to match her good looks. She’s one of those dogs who makes you smile without even trying. Playful, silly, and full of charm, Domino enjoys her active moments just as much as her downtime, happily switching between bursts of energy and relaxed hangout time. She’s friendly with everyone she meets — kids, adults, and other dogs of all sizes — and approaches life with an easygoing, happy attitude. Domino loves toys, enjoys playtime, and shows off her goofy side in the funniest ways. One of her favorite habits is falling asleep flat on her back with her head propped against the wall at a perfect ninety-degree angle, which pretty much sums up her quirky charm. Domino is still learning the ropes and will need continued potty training and basic obedience, but she’s intelligent and eager to engage, making training a great bonding opportunity. She thrives with patience, consistency, and lots of positive reinforcement. She’s vocal in a playful way when she’s having fun, but it’s more happy chatter than barking. She’s been around other dogs and does well, and while she hasn’t been tested with cats yet, she adapts well to new situations given a little time. Domino came into care needing some medical support for sniffles and parasites, which have been addressed, and she’s ready to focus on the good life now. Domino is looking for a loving home that will enjoy her playful spirit, laugh at her silly sleeping positions, and help guide her as she continues learning. With love, patience, and a little training, she’s going to be an amazing companion! Domino is from Texas.
