Story
Kito reminds us of those popular dog toys, the Squishmallow's. No one told him he was an Akita and is supposed to be stoic, protective and scary. He is ALL wiggles, smiles and LOVES his volunteers and rescue teams. The world outside is still kind of scary but with each event hes getting better and better. Before he would frantically spin the entire walk, but now he will patiantly sit on the grass at our Point Loma event or on a Pack Walk. True to any large dog, he doesn't know hes massive and anyone sitting on the grass is bound to have a Kito as a lap warmer. He loves hugs, brushes and being told how darn good looking he is. He is quite large, so he will need someone strong and well grounded to walk him in the event something spooks him unexpectedly. Although he's never met a person he didn't like, due to size, we are saying no kids under the age of 15, he's just WAY too goofy and tall. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas.  I need to stay safe.To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/genericTo foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/genericEmail: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com ##1305366##

Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on June 23, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Maddie is a sweet, sensitive gal in search of a loving new home! Maddie is a bit shy initially, but has made great progress with positive reinforcement training. Once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines through and she seeks out gentle affection like chest rubs and back pets. She is also recovering from a procedure where she had one of her eyes removed, and with time she will heal and be used to her life with only one eye. Maddie has a positive history with other dogs and has enjoyed playdates while in care. Due to her shy nature, she would do best in a home where any children are 12 years and older and can respect her boundaries. She will thrive with continued positive reinforcement training and a quiet, understanding home that allows her time to build trust and confidence. With patience and consistency, she will reward her adopter with loving affection and loyalty. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet soul, come meet Maddie today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 61 Age: 3yrs 7mths 2wks

Story
Ludo came into our care after the passing of his beloved mom. 15 years young and weighing 70 pounds, Ludo is a sweet, friendly, fun-loving senior with so much love left to give. According to his mom’s sister, Ludo was “deeply, deeply loved” and spent his life peacefully coexisting with two cats. Despite his age, he still lights up at walk time, enjoys playing with toys, and gets the most endearing, puppy-like zoomies when he’s excited. One of our volunteers recently treated Ludo to a special solo adventure, and he was all in! He hopped right into the car, ready to go, and happily explored Old Poway Park before stopping for a well-earned pup cup at a local coffee shop. After a day full of sniffs, wags, and treats, Ludo cozied up for a nap on the ride back to FFF. Ludo is a loving, joyful senior who would make a wonderful companion for someone looking to share leisurely adventures and lots of love with a truly special dog. To meet Ludo, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

This is Miko, he is 10 years old. He absolutely loves humans and will smother you in love. He is stubborn but that comes with the territory of his breed. We got him from the humane society and he has adapted to home life very well. Unfortunately due to my health I have to rehome this sweet boy as soon as possible. I hope you become his new owner!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi there! I`m a husky!! Fluffy, proud, and always up for a good time. I live for strolls through the neighborhood, ears perked, tail high, sniffing every bush like it holds the secrets of the universe. Walks aren’t just walks to me... they’re adventures, even if it’s just to the mailbox. Treats? Oh, don’t even get me started. The crinkle of a bag? I’m there. But the best thing in the world? My people. Whether we’re curled up on the couch or out exploring new trails, I’m happiest when I’m right by their side. I’ve got a wanderer’s heart and a loyal soul. Take me to the mountains, the beach, or just the backyard. I’m all in, as long as we’re together.Every day’s a chance for a new adventure. And with my pack by my side? That`s the shelter dog dream.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I’m a husky, which means I have two main modes: GO and okay fine, I’ll chill… for now. I live for zooming. Big zooms, fast zooms, dramatic laps around the yard. My legs were made for running and my heart was made for fun. If there’s playtime happening, I am already there... pouncing, wrestling, tossing toys in the air like I meant to do that. Food is also very important to my lifestyle. I eat like I’ve earned it. Fun is my favorite thing. I enjoy resting, sure, but if I had to choose? I’d rather be running, playing, laughing in my own husky way, and seeing how much joy I can squeeze out of every single day.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hey! I`m Kiwi. Your best friend, couch buddy, snack enthusiast, and part-time fetch champion. I live for playtime. You grab a toy, I’m instantly ready. Ball? Let`s go. Tug rope? Game on. Honestly, I don’t even need a reason!! If you`re laughing and running, I`m there, tail wagging at full speed. I just love being around my humans, doing anything… or even nothing. And speaking of love… let’s talk snacks. Crunchy, chewy, soft!!! I’m always down. But don’t let the playful energy fool you; I’m a world-class chiller, too. Once we’ve had our fun, I’ll sprawl out next to you, head on your lap, maybe let out a happy sigh. That’s the good stuff. I’m not just about zoomies... I’m about the vibe. So yeah, I’m pretty much the full package: play hard, snack often, chill harder. Life’s better with your people around. Now… you free to toss the ball? Or we napping first?
