Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a good Samaritan. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Introducing Pollie, a charming and endearing canine companion who is in search of a home filled with love and patience. When Pollie first arrived, she was very shy and fearful being in a new environment with lots of new faces. However, we can see that this gentle soul has a heart full of potential waiting shine. Pollie is house trained and proficient on a leash. She thrives on companionship and adores following her favorite person around. While she may be initially reserved, her love for other dogs shines through with gradual introductions to help her build confidence. Pollie would thrive in a home where all family members can read dog body language. She will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training in her next home as she adjusts to her new routine. With the right family willing to provide the love and support Pollie needs, she promises to be loving companion. If you need a little Love in your life, come and meet Pollie today at our San Diego campus! Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 84.8 Age: 3yrs 4mths 2wks

Story
Nala is a purebred akita. She has been rehomed now 4 times now so i’m trying to find her a forever home. She’s very sweet and has tons of energy. Would prefer her to move into a home with a backyard, but has been an apartment dog so if needed. She may do better either being an only dog or in a home with a younger dog than her. She comes with a crate, her bowl, some toys, and her leash.

Story
Petey is a fun-loving boy who is great with every person he has met, young and old. He might be okay around other dogs, but he's selective. He walks well on leash, until he sees a rabbit, squirrel or cat, but he would easily adjust to a no-pull harness. He loves to get belly rubs!

To ensure the best possible experience when meeting our dog, appointments are required. Please EMAIL apassionforpaws@gmail.com and wait for confirmation of your appointment  before coming to visit the Akita Ranch. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you soon! FOR DOGS NOT LOCATED AT THE AKITA RANCH, PLEASE CONTACT THE SHELTER OR INDIVIDUAL LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION DIRECTLY for more information on a particular dog. Oakley says there's not a word yet for FRIENDS who have just met. Oakley has learned many new things since arriving at the ranch, like sit and how to walk on leash, how to raise his paw for a treat, how to look absolutely adorable at ALL times, how to bulldoze those you love!! When we first received him it didn't appear he had ever had a safe loving home where he could trust those around him or he knew he would have a regular meal, so at first he was little shy. But now he is the biggest love bug and has learned how wonderful love is!! He can be cautious with new people but warms up quickly and once he trusts you, he will slobber you with affection. If he gets excited, you may need to gently calm him down but that's when he will flop over for belly rubs!!...Oh poor Oakley, sometimes he just can't contain his happiness. Due to Oakley's size we recommend he would be best in an adult home. Oakley does seem to like other friendly female large dogs but he can be selective and may be happiest as an only dog. Come and meet Oakley at the Akita Ranch today!! Email: apassionforpaws@gmail.com for adoption information Visit Akita Ranch 28930 Ellis Ave, Romoland, CA, Open 10-5 daily BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
NOW RESIDENT IN WEST TEXAS! I’ve had Kai since a puppy unfortunately I no longer have the time to look after him. I started a new job that requires me to be away from home for long periods of time. Keeping him and not giving him away because I love him is hurting him more. He’s very goofy, active, loves his daily walks, hikes, loves to talk with anybody, wants to meet everyone (human or animal) plays with any and every dog. Highly food motivated. He is house trained and knows the basic commands, sit, down, stay, go, outside, kennel etc. . I am looking for an active household, has time for Kai. Homebody as we were. My name is Oscar. Thank you.
