Story
Tundra is 3 years old she was born in February 2021. She is very friendly but at times can be skittish to certain people and loud noises, like a flag in the wind. She gets along with most dogs and is not aggressive often times her friendliness and bigness can scare some dogs. She is not a dog that will harm a cat but she gets along and can respect the boundaries of a strong cat. She is very smart with a strong unique personality, she takes to training pretty fast but is not fully trained currently to be in a home unsupervised. She is crate trained for short periods of time. I would like her to go to a home that is spacious, has a yard, to a loving family, possibly another dog to be a sibling with. She is pretty active and would need daily walks/play time. A home with children over 10 is fine. I would be open and happy to share more about her in person. I am not in a rush to have her rehomed before December, I want her to go to a forever home and not have another transition of family.

Story
Hey there! I'm KONA and I'm on a quest to find my furever home! I've been spending time at the shelter and making friends, but I'm ready to embark on a new journey with you. I'm an approximately 5-year-old Alaskan Malamute mix and weigh 75 lbs. Some of my friends think I may have some Siberian Husky in me. Regardless of my mix, I am told I am quite a handsome doggo! The great outdoors is my playground. I love to go out with my volunteer friends and chase a squeaky toy or ball. I don't know who invented squeaky toys but let's just say they are quite a hit with me. I'm always up for a game of fetch. It's a fantastic way for us to bond and have a blast together. I can't wait to bring my zest for life into your home. I really enjoy taking strolls and sniffaris and think I could make a great adventure buddy. I walk well on leash and know "sit,'' "down,'' "drop,'' and "come back.'' And with you and your yummy treats, I could learn even more. I'm not just looking for a home; I'm searching for a forever friend. Someone who will appreciate a loyal companion by their side; and let me tell you, I am quite the lovebug! I love to be close to my friends, get loved on, brushed, get sweet talk, and belly rubs (they are fantastic!). I can be dog selective - preferring the ladies. And I think they like me too! I was not well cared for before coming to the shelter, but you can see how spiffy I look now. And I am already vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and ready to go! If you're up for endless love - I'm your guy! ## Kona's neuter is being sponsored by TVAR ($35 adoption and, if applicable, licensing fees still apply) ## ## See video of Kona at the end of the photo gallery! ## TVAR.org/find-your-pet-adopt/dogs-puppies/ Kona's Shelter ID# is 81919. He's an adult, male, black and white, Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky mix. He currently weighs 75 lbs. He has already been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped and is ready to go to his new home! Kona is located in kennel D-1. ** Age shown is an estimate only ** THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING If you are interested, please call the East County Animal Shelter at 925-803-7040 to see if this dog is still available.

Story
Maui here! Do you feel the love in a rescue dog searching for a forever home? I'm a 12-month-old neutered Alaskan Malamute with German Shepherd mix, sporting a tri-color coat of black, brown, and white with deep brown eyes. I'm an all-around package - loving everyone and every dog, medium to large, but unsure about small dogs and cats. I enjoy playing with sticks, tennis balls, bones, Kong toys, and more. I also love dipping my feet in the pool when it's hot or cool. Water is my element - whether it's the ocean, river, or lake, put me on a 15' leash and watch me surf the waves. I adore sleeping with you, cuddling, and snuggling. I'm gentle, calm, and great with children. Leash, house, and crate trained, I just need someone to give me love and care. Look into my deep brown eyes and fall in love with me! Story
Meet Max! He is 5 years old and over the crazy phase of adolescence! He loves to watch the other dogs play or a cozy spot next to his human! We think he is a malamute/shepherd mix! Totally a guess, besides the obvious super handsome mutt! He is a wonderful dog who gets a lot well with other dogs. But he has recently tapped in to his inner breed calling and decided that he can’t live along side small animals: cats and chickens specifically! So we swooped in and hopeful to find him a different home! He has been fixed and up to date on his vaccinations! We would really appreciate all the tags and shares so we can quickly find him a wonderful home! Max will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Max is about 5 years old.
