Story
MEET PEACHES! She is as sweet as her name. Peaches was rescued from a local shelter euthanasia list. She has medium to low energy. Peaches is dog selective and would do best with older kids and no cats or small dogs. She would be OK being the only animal in the home. Peaches is very sweet and loves to get pets and cuddle with you. Don’t let her big size fool you as she is an absolute love bug. Peaches is potty trained and crate trained. She is five years old and very easy to manage as long as she gets enough attention and some activity, but she doesn’t need much. Short walks will be fine for her because she gets tired pretty easily. She is strong because of her size. Peaches is about 85 pounds of pure love. She would do best as an inside dog, since she does have allergies being in the sun. She would be OK in a home or apartment/condo as long as she has outside space to access, but she should not be kept outdoors. Please let us know if you can foster her long-term for this rescue who is in desperate need of help. Fostering for a rescue still helps save lives because it allows the rescue to take in more dogs from the shelter. Her Rescue will cover basic needs, including food and medical expenses as well as supplies. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Peaches, please contact us.

Cyprus is the perfect pet home for one owner only and a one person household. She is very sweet and happy dog but also very jealous and protective. She gets along with other pets until she is provoked or challenged and then she will bite, only an experienced person will know how to break up the fight.

Story
Astro will match your energy. He likes to run around and play and also likes to take a good old fashioned nap in the sun. I've socialized Astro since he was a puppy. He regularly goes to the dog park. True to his breed he is defensive around his owner, but he is also playful once he feels comfortable around the other dogs. At the dog park, if he observes other dogs getting into arguments, then he will jump in and break them up. He is a very curious dog. He wants to be in the center of what is happening and sees the world through his nose. He is content to just sit at your feet while you work and be with you. Astro is both crate and house trained. On cold days he will let us know he needs to go. On warm days we tend to leave the door open a little and he lets Astro knows how to sit, stay, lay down. After his daily walk he knows to sit before we will take off his harness. He also knows how to fetch. We engaged with a professional trainer to help us get him settled.

Story
DOB: August 2015Weight: 80lbsTemperament: Easy-going, Happy, FriendlyFrom: Handsome Oslo came to us from a shelter in Moreno Valley, CA. He had many ticks and fly strike when found, and had probably been an outdoor dog. Oslo has captured the hearts of volunteers with his sweet temperament. He gets along well with other medium-large dogs in his play group. If adopted into a home with another dog, he needs leadership and guidance to be the best version of himself. Oslo is housebroken and is great with people!Best Attribute: He's the chillest boy this side of the Mississippi.Area of opportunity: He can be protective of his home if he believes it to be his responsibility and thus needs a solid leader to set the boundaries. If you're a sucker for a dog with a big head and equally big heart, apply to meet him today at www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt!To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below.
