Story
Introducing London! She is a beautiful boxer/American bulldog mix (per dna test) who was out of time in the shelter. Her estimated dob is 3/1/24 and should be around 50 to 55lbs full grown. London is doing well.  She is a typical puppy who needs rules and boundaries. London needs proper introductions to strangers.  She is easily redirected to her toys and has been good about not chewing things in the house  She does like to dig a little and explore the yard.  She is doing great with the other pack members in the house and loves her visits to another foster to play with a group of youngsters!.  She is an exuberant player. And London really likes the water! We are walking in the neighborhood daily.  She is also learning basic commands. She is now on to the Intermediate obedience class and is picking up the commands quickly.  London stays in a crate at night and when her foster mom is away from the house. Potty training has been conquered. And London uses a dog door.  Car rides are also going well.  Cats are unknown. London's wish list: 1.   Secure yard 2.   Adult only home 3.   Obedience training ongoing 4.   Daily walks 5.   Continued socialization   6.   A playful dog friend would be good too!   Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $350-$475 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us. We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Izzy (short for Isabella because I’m so bella!)   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a gorgeous girl!    HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on November 29, 2018.
WHAT BREED ARE YOU? Just the most perfect Boxer/Pit Bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I’m 80 pounds of pure love!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I’m a classic, fawn Boxer beauty with soulful brown eyes and natural black eyeshadow.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’ll pretty much eat anything but have a soft spot for cheese! Can you blame me, though? Cheese is life! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am goofy and playful but also love a good cuddle sesh. I’m loyal to my humans and adore little kids!  DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh that’s easy! My perfect day would start with a long walk, popping some bubbles or chasing a ball, then some quality couch time with my humans, followed by a nice long nap. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything that squeaks will not squeak for very long when I get my paws on it!  DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I’m good with the basics, sit, stay, leave it, and wait! I am very food motivated, so if you want me to learn more, bring on the treats! WHAT SCARES YOU? On leash, I am sometimes nervous about other dogs, so I tend to react to tell them to stay away from me and my human!   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I LOVE children, especially little ones! I am so tolerant of their shenanigans, although I appreciate when my humans step in when they start to get a little handsy with me!  DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? With slow, structured introductions, I should be alright with large dogs, but I do not want little dogs in my space. As I mentioned earlier, I can get uncomfortable with some dogs when on leash. I’m practicing and getting better, treats can help!    IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? It doesn’t matter where I am as long as we’re together. Right beside my human is the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy!   WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with two adults and two children under five years old. My foster mom is my super-favorite person in the world right now, although those littles sure are a lot of fun!   WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I chill. Sometimes on the couch, sometimes on the floor. I take myself out and like to find cool spots in the house.   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Pretty flexible! Couch, floor, dog bed. A crate if I must, but I like crates the least. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? A leash means walks! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Sometimes when I’m on leash I have a hard time telling between friend or foe. Even though I’m big, that doesn’t stop me from acting like a puppy. I am willing to learn, so let’s spend some time working together and have some fun bonding while you teach me what you want me to do!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! No problems there! Make sure you tell me where and I’ll stick to it.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I’m not much of a swimmer but I love getting in the water and playing with the hose. Maybe you can teach me how to swim?   WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love spending time with my foster family, especially all the cuddles. The best is when I get to hang out with the kids. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to start the next phase of my life with my forever family! Let’s do this! **IZZY’S ADOPTION FEE IS $300.** If you are interested in adopting Izzy, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
Update- sweet Joey had surgery to correct his cherry eyes. He`ll get his cone off soon and his photo will be updated. Right now, his favorite thing to do is grab a soft toy to chew on while hanging out in your lap. He is adorable :)  Meet Joey !At just 8 months old, Joey is already checking all the boxes for `best friend material.` This handsome brindle Boxer mix is nearly done growing and is expected to settle into that perfect medium-sized package—big enough for adventures, small enough to fit comfortably into most homes.Joey is still very much a puppy, which means life with him comes with plenty of fun, laughter, and the occasional puppy shenanigan. He`s playful, curious, and eager to explore the world around him. Whether he`s zooming around the yard, investigating every interesting smell, or looking for someone to play with, Joey approaches life with enthusiasm and joy.Like any young dog, Joey will benefit from continued training, structure, and patience as he learns the ropes of being a well-mannered adult. The good news? Puppies are adorable, and Joey has that covered. His goofy personality and sweet face make it hard not to smile when he`s around. If you`re looking for a young companion to join you on walks, adventures, and lazy days on the couch after playtime, Joey may be the perfect fit. He`s ready to trade shelter life for a family of his own and start making memories with the people lucky enough to call him theirs.Come meet Joey and see if this brindle bundle of fun is the missing piece in your family!Joey has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. Story
Joy is mixed Boxer, German Shepherd, Pittie and Chow. She is hilarious, high energy, super cuddly, and ready to explore. Our family adopted her when she was 6 weeks old through a local rescue; she will be 6 soon. Joy is ridiculously smart, well trained and good with recall, but sometimes needs reminding. She love cats, playing with water in all forms, squeak toys, chasing squirrels and her ball. She will go hard fetching her ball and then sleep for hours. She enjoys kids, but with 68 lbs of muscle, take caution. Joy needs to be an only dog. She "resource guards" her toys and her humans. This is why we are seeking a new family to love her. We are now divorced, living in two different cities. One home has another dog she fights with, and in the other she will be alone for 12 hours a day. Joy just needs a place she can romp and run, and lively, loving humans to hang out with. We wish to hear updates from adoptive family.

Story
Watch out, world - here comes Cheerio! Cheerio is estimated to be just under 2 years old. She is a ball of fun who is eager to go on adventures and make new friends. She is the cuddle master and thinks that naps are way better with a buddy. She is an active girl looking for a family who can keep up with her puppy antics. Cheerio weighs about 64lbs and is fully grown. Cheerio came to us from an overcrowded Central California animal shelter. She was found as a stray, and no family ever came for her. She was at the shelter for about a month and was then placed on the euthanasia list simply due to a lack of space. We quickly were able to find a foster home to take her in, and she has been settling in well since coming to us. Cheerio is a total lovebug who thrives on human attention. She can be a tad cautious when she meets a new person, but she is quick to warm up and cover your face in kisses. She has a hilariously goofy personality, and there are never any dull moments when she is around. She loves to play fetch! Cheerio has mastered a few basic manners, like sit and down, but would benefit from some continued training to help her be the best girl she can be. Cheerio has done well living with other large dogs and could be a great wrestling buddy for another playful pup. She also wouldn't mind being your one and only - more treats and cuddles for her! Cheerio thinks kitties are fun to chase, but with a slow introduction and proper supervision, she has learned to live with dog-savvy cats. Cheerio could be a great addition to a family with kids 10 years and older. Cheerio has been doing great with her housetraining. Cheerio has done well being left alone in her crate for short periods, but very much prefers it when one of her foster family members can work from home. She is happy to sleep through the night in her crate. Cheerio is such a fantastic dog, and she can't wait to meet her fur-ever family! If you think that might be you, submit an application today!   Cheerio's adoption fee is $300.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. June 18, 2026, 5:43 pm

Story
Zeus is very smart and playful, he loves toys and learns routines quickly. Zeus loves to play chase and tug anytime. He is learning his manners well, but he still barks and gets excited easily so he may do best somewhere he has a little space to play on his own. He is very friendly with other people, he wants to play and will go get his toys and attempt to engage you in tug of war. He likes to chase balls but is still learning “drop”. If you have a couple toys to alternate with, he will fetch. He loves belly rubs. Zeus loves his treats but is pretty mellow about mealtimes. He will take food from your hand gently. We give him food 3 times a day and he often eats it slowly throughout the day, he doesn’t gobble food or overeat. When we need to give him pills he will eat a spoon of peanut butter with meds with no problem. Zeus crates well; he will go in there easily if you point inside and often takes naps in there on his own. His foster parents are home a lot so he is a little spoiled with attention, but he is used to being in his crate alone for a few hours at a time. He is both affectionate and sometimes self-sufficient. He likes to be with you or cuddle, and he also seems comfortable napping in the ‘other’ room. We have not tested Zeus with cats but he has a strong chase/hunt instinct and always goes after birds or squirrels. Zeus is sweet but he does get excited and can jump or be a rough player. He is learning not to jump up so much, but he does seem to like standing up on his hind legs. He is also pretty vocal when he is playing

Story
Meet Mallory! Mallory is the dog version of a sprite. She is always happy and excited about life! She will self pacify with her toys, she goes out on a skateboard run daily for 45 minutes (pulls the rider, foster's neighbor) and is very athletic. Mallory's play style is rough, so not all dogs appreciate her energy, but she does very well with like minded dogs. She is fine spending the day at home, excited to see you when you get home and just wants to sit on your lap (she does need to learn about personal space) and watch tv in the evenings. She is high energy when needed but is happy as long as she is with her person. Mallory is a Stanislaus Shelter Survivor. We made contact with her original owners and know a lot about her background. She was an adorable puppy. You can see the love in her eyes. Interested in meeting Mallory? Story
Meet Yeti! Yeti does not have any special needs. He does not need an experienced adopter but we will need to teach the new handler how to introduce him to dogs. He is very energetic. The only concern with children is his exuberance. We are working on impulse control. He will just love on kids and jump on them right now. With cats he has a moderate interest in his fosters dog-savvy cats. He has done well with them, but will probably torture (because he won't leave them alone) a less confident cats. Cats should always have an escape route available from all dogs. . Yeti's puppy-like exuberance means not every dog is going to like him. He is learning manners from Banjo and the other resident dogs. He simply wants to play and once the other dogs realize that they are pretty tolerant and will play with him. He has even worn down Stella the senior to the point that she plays a little with him. Yeti is playful, friendly, affectionate, gentle, smart, funny, athletic and his favorite toys are rope toys, bones, squeaky stuffed toys. He LOVES tug of war. He is great at self-play. Give him a toy and he will entertain himself for a long while. Don't give him a toy and he will make something else into one. Training Needs: impulse control. Working on look, sit, stay, leave it. He has begun agility lessons and loves it - very enthusiastic jumper, jumps about 2x as high as needs to. Medical needs: just needs to gain a little weight and should be kept on flea preventive as he does have an allergy to fleas. Activity level: moderate - needs daily walks and play time Favorite activities: long walks, runs, training sessions, couch time, tug of war, keep away/chase games. Interested in meeting Yeti? Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Interested in meeting Dutton? Let us know! *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to adopt@sacrdr.org (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Pet system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you!
