Meet Romeo. He is less than 2 years old, neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is potty trained and knows how to alert when he needs to go out and also knows how to use a doggie door. For his strength and weight he is actually pretty easy to handle on a leash. He is easily redirected. He loves, loves, loves all people he meets. After being rescued originally, he was primarily raised by a 10 girl. He has recently been around teenagers and fawned all over them. He has been around other dogs here but can get possessive of me, driving the other dogs away. I have been kenneling him when he does that and he is improving. He is very smart and trainable. His original fosters rehomed him to a family they thought was good. Somehow, he was found loose in the Yakima area emaciated on January 12th. He was taken in and brought back to health. I am super treat and toy motivated. I can get excitable when the toys come out, but am quite the gentle giant when it comes to it. Sometimes I can`t make up my mind which toy I want to play with, and try to take multiple with me!I am smart and will happily `sit` and `shake` for treats and toys. Runs away if you try to touch him. Is gentle without any signs of aggression when approached by strangers. Comes closer to familiar people with treats. Can be touched and leashed when he is cornered. * With Dogs: Gets along well and plays only with familiar dogs. Is a bit wary of new dogs and does not mingle with them. * With Cats: Does not react to cats nicely. Barks if he sees them outside the fence.
