Runs away if you try to touch him. Is gentle without any signs of aggression when approached by strangers. Comes closer to familiar people with treats. Can be touched and leashed when he is cornered. * With Dogs: Gets along well and plays only with familiar dogs. Is a bit wary of new dogs, barking at them, and does not mingle with them. * With Cats: Does not react to cats nicely. Barks if he sees them outside the fence. May chase or threaten them, so careful attention is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he currently resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: Only does outdoor pottying at our center. * Hygiene: Takes a bath nicely and accepts brushing well. * Walks: Has been trained at a dog training school, so he is generally a well-behaved walker! May be startled by sudden noise during walks, so care should be taken. Pulls a little on the leash and he’s undergoing training for this. * Car Sickness: Doesn't get car sick. * Biting: Has not bitten. * Barking: May bark when strangers visit. * Likes: Loves treats and food. You can get closer to him through treats. * Dislikes: May feel uncomfortable with too much touch or attention. Please take your time to approach him slowly. * Personality: Tom is very shy. Although he’s curious about people, he’s not used to them and retreats if you approach him. You should wait for him to approach you first!

Hi, my name is Mimi! I was born in September of 2022. My people think I may be an American Bulldog mix. I am 42 pounds. I am a smaller gal and my people say I am the perfect medium size girl! I came into rescue after a nice lady watched me being chased by a bunch of other dogs. I was in heat and nothing good was going to come from that. She saved me from having an unwanted litter of puppies on the street. I am a super sweet girl. I like to play and snuggle. My foster family has done a great job socializing me. I love everyone I meet and like to be loved on. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I am in a home with other dogs and do well. I like having the foster siblings. I have been around both large dogs and small dogs. There is a ten year old boy in my foster home and I really like him. I am house trained, crate trained and walk well on a leash. I ride well in the car and am up for any adventure. I can totally envision myself sitting at an outdoor coffee shop slurping a cappuccino! I am a healthy pup and if you are looking for a new fur baby, I may be the one. I am spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. I adopted Reuben 2 years ago when he could barely walk or sit due to DUAL torn ACLs. I've paid for both knee surgeries & he's incredibly active now, a new pup almost. My fiancée & I can't keep up with him sadly...and he deserves better than this. The past year has been rough leaving us with little to no energy to put into him, NO fault of his own. Reuben is a 4 yr old, 65lb pittie baby. He's highly food motivated (allergic to chicken/turkey), has ZERO separation anxiety, fully house & crate trained. He would do best as the only dog in the home. His history with cats & kids are unknown. He knows many commands and is a quick learner, he enjoys training and learning new tricks, too! He would thrive in a home that's active whether it's car rides to get pup cups, going for walks/runs, playing tug or playing ball. He is a mod-high energy dog. As active as he sounds, he can't pass up baking in the sun for an hour or so either! He deserves a home that has the time and energy for him 💜
